This Buddhist nunnery is amazingly beautiful - a fantastic, faithful replica of a huge Tang Dynasty temple complex in Shanxi, China. Architecture buffs will be wowed by the breathtaking wooden construction, not a single nail was used to build the entire structure. On the edge of a beautiful park, and near the base of a mountain. easy to find right outside a MTR station with a mall in between the station and the park for lunch or a snack, because theres no food allowed in the park. one of my party got reprimanded for trying to eat a powerbar while walking. the... more

We were advised by forum members to have a look at the Nunnery, as we didn't just want to come to Hong Kong to shop. We are SO glad we took their advice. We went in January 2008.
