We went to the Baldi Springs after visiting the coter rainforest. We thought that it was good, it was clean, tidy, and there were peaceful pools as well as noisy pools with lots of activity in ie kids etc. We had food there too which was the typical rice and beans with nachos etc. Unfortunatley the view of arenal was... more

Without a doubt this is a beautiful place and has the potential to be a very relaxing spa type place. The rooms are very nice with cable TV, AC and a safe. The hot springs and landscaping are amazing, however this is where things go downhill. For some reason the hotel finds it necessary to BLAST 80's music over a... more

If you go to a spa to relax and be pampered, this place is not for you. No new age music here - blaringly loud bad disco is played on loudspeakers throughout the area. It's laid out like a theme park, with several pools, although most are either tepid or boiling hot, so the couple that are warm without being... more

Do you like crowds, screaming kids, loud obnoxious music, and over priced food? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you will be happy at the Baldi Hot Springs. The establishment is located 4 miles outside the city of La Fortuna. We stayed at a near by hotel and just walked over. The Baldi Springs are huge and... more

We arrived in La Fortuna around 3 in the afternoon, and booked an evening visit thru our hotel (Hotel Arenal Green) to Baldi Hot Springs - just the springs, not with dinner. We arrived and were told where the lockers were, which are not included in the admission price. We just had our towels and clothes, so we skipped the... more

We booked this at our hotel for $18, but saw brokers in town as high as $28. It was a little inconvenient when we came there with our tickets already and just swimsuits, they charge $5 for a locker (just another opportunity to get $$ sucked out of your pocket), and even $5 deposit for each towel (refundable on towels... more

This is the most relaxing thing you'll ever experience! Your body just falls asleep. The beautiful hot springs in La Fortuna are the perfect way to end a busy day of ziplining. I had the most lovely evening just chilling with my travelling buddies in the many different luxurious pools of varying temperatures, heated by the local Volcano! A definate... more

After going there on a tour with CAT tours , a housekeeping attendant came in to the shower room and stole our brand new digital camera, with witnesses. The front office workers insisted that housekeeping is not allowed to come into the shower room while there are guests in there, and just short of calling us outright out liars denided... more

Do not be fooled by any photos or adds. This place is a complete rip off. It is cheaper, yet no better than Tabacon, the ultimate tourist trap in the area. We were there on an off day in the off season, and still the service was terrible. The slides were shut down, the fountains were not on, no attendant... more

Baldi Hotsprings is a waste of time and money. We arrived at the reception and ask if they had a couple rooms for the night, the manager(or that what he calls himself) starting muttering something about I have got one but not two and we definately needed two rooms (2 couples travelling) when we asked him again he said sure... more
