We went to Eco Termales for an evening of hot springs time and dinner. The hot springs were precisely what I expected and wanted-- hot water and cheap drinks. Beer is two bucks and cocktails four dollars a pop (and good!). The pools aren't much to look at, but they're plenty spacious, varying temperatures, clean, and pleasant. I got the... more

Pros: The set up of these springs is fabulous. From the moment you pull up to the unmarked wooden gate (set across the street from the more “glamorized” Baldi Hot Springs) you know you are in for a secluded treat. The fact that Eco-Termales limits the amount of guests into their elegant springs is a major bonus. When we arrived... more

We went to Eco Thermales as part of a day long tour, but did not eat dinner there. I think word must be getting around about this place because it was fully booked both nights we were in La Fortuna. We were told they limit their numbers to 100 people at a time. EcoThermales was right across the street from... more

I had trouble making reservations here by finally found a website called arenal.net to make it. That was the only problem we had. This family owned hot springs is worlds apart from the others in the area and I am so happy we picked this one. The food was great, the bar honor system, the showers and the absence of... more

Made reservations for dinner and hot springs at Eco Termales for May 30, 2008 based upon recommendations from TA posters. So very glad we did!! I knew my husband would not like or feel comfortable with crowds of people. ET totally met every expectation!! There were maybe 20 people there all night (it was a Friday). The food was delicious... more

one of my favorite Costa Rica experiences! What a lovely place and what a great healthy home cooked meal. This family run hot spring is a beautiful relaxing paradise at the end of a long dark driveway after entering a wooden gate with no signage. You'll feel like your going to a speak easy and may even be concerned your... more

We loved going from hottest to coldest. I thought there were more than the 5 or 6 there. It was really crowded... That was the only thing I didn't enjoy... but I guess the secret's out. Everyone knows this place. My husband loved the hottest one... I couldn't stand it after 5-10 minutes. I enjoyed dunking into the coldest one... more

This was a great experience toward the end of our vacation last week. After hiking, shopping, swimming, surfing, horseback riding, canopy tour, and canyoning all week, our bones were a little tired! These hot springs were wonderful. We had to wait three days to get a reservation, so I would definitely recommend planning this ahead of time. We were there... more

We decided to visit Eco Thermales hot springs because it was significantly less expensive than Tabacon. It was beautiful, relaxing and not very crowded. Cost was $41 per person and included a great lunch. more
