My husband and I toured the Magnolia Mound recently and enjoyed it. It is not as elegant as some of our other plantation homes in this area but it is worth a visit if you're coming to Baton Rouge. The Plantation has a French Creole House built in 1791 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You can... more

The tour guide was so sweet, and spent a great deal of time sharing facts about the plantation. She was very informed about the plantation and answered all the questions our group asked. Although it was raining, the tour was still worth taking. A beautiful, well kept and pleasant historical site. more
