Reviewer below correct about $15 and 15 minutes. Few works from the decades that made him famous; plenty from old age when sight was dim and imagination dead: he copied journalist's photographs and sold them to general interest magazines. It's called Cashing in on your Reputation. DId fame rob him of his sense of humor and insight into ordinary lives?... more

The Norman Rockwell Museum is one of the main attractions in Stockbridge, but for $15 I would seriously consider saving your money. There are not very many Rockwell paintings on display (maybe 80 or so), and half of the exhibit was dedicated to a political cartoonist with apparently no relation to Norman Rockwell or Stockbridge. Although I do have a... more

We too were there on St Columbus day and really enjoyed the museum and exhibition of gates in the gardens. The museum is a joy and very well organised; the paintings are fantastic. However I have to agree that certain members of the staff (or maybe they are volunteers) are most rude - particularly in the gift shop. I would... more

The museum is on a beautiful piece of property, and my family (mom & dad, 11 and 7-year olds) really enjoyed walking all around, enjoying the sculpture, the wildlife habitat, and the views. It was a great spot to let our kids burn off some energy. The museum itself was not of great interest to them, however, although they did... more

My wife and I loved this museum. We were there for about two hours and had no difficulty with the staff. Some visitors monopolized the docents with questions but that didn't interfere with our enjoyment. It's a beautiful place. the art is great and the history ws extremely interesting. You ould easily spend half a day. more

The Norman Rockwell museum is definatly worth seeing if you appreciate art or even just looking for a relaxing afternoon out. The museum was in fantastic condition. The only downside was the horrible staff. They were at most times never to be seen and when found they didn't really want to answer questions. more

I absolutely loved this museum. I am a huge Rockwell Fan and I must say seeing his work in person you see how truly talented Mr. Rockwell really was. It is unbelievable the detail he put into every piece of work. My boyfriend and I made it a day trip driving from Long Island NY, it took about 3 hours... more

Tucked away off a quiet road in Stockbridge, MA, is this museum that houses a majority of the work of Norman Rockwell. The land the museum sits on has some of the best views and is one of the nicest spots out here in this quaint New England spot. The place looks just like any museum, respectable and orderly. It... more

The art part of this museum is great; the staff is terrible! They appeared to be grumpy old people with nothing better to do. They were reluctant to answer questions and never cracked a smile. In all fairness, we visited this museum quite a few years ago 1999, so the staff may have changed. The staff's attitudes really spoiled our... more
