MY LONG REVIEW: Just home from a week at the RPLA. (10/04-10/10) We(Husband and I in our early 40's) have been to Cancun before and stayed at Dreams (Sept 2004). We booked RPLA instead of Dreams because we read the reviews on TA and wanted to be informed travlers and try something different. CHECK IN: Check in was just okay.... more

Let me start by saying this was the best place I've ever stayed at. I've traveled to many locations, stayed at many all inclusives but this by far is the best. We stayed here from Sept. 24th, 2008 through Sept. 29th. The staff was great, always looking to serve, the resort is a PALACE. Many times we look at photos... more

We decided on this hotel based on the vast numbers of great reviews out there but realized that it was very disappointing since most of the reviews we've read were outdated or simply not true. This is an all inclusive hotel, we waited over one hour for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport, and the check in... more

My parents and brother and i all stayed at the riu palace las americas from sept 24th to oct. 1st. First off the hotel was amazing. We received conjoining rooms, as we requested and were given our room keys immediately upon arrival. The food here was the best we have ever had at an all-inclusive, in the past we have... more

We just got back last week from our stay at this hotel . When you drive up it is beautiful! Pristine white building with beautiful landscaping. It gets even better when you enter the lobby. It does look like a palace with crystal chandeliers and ornate rugs and paintings. When we checked in we were given a quick overview of... more

I just returned from a stay at the RPLA a couple of days ago. I was with my husband, 3 year old son, parents, sister, brother-in-law and two nieces, ages 14 and 11. We all had a terrific time at the RPLA. The food was excellent. We all loved the steak house and the Spanish restaurant the most. The service... more

So let me preface this by letting you know that I am the pickiest person I know...its a good thing and a bad thing. Some of the things I notice are that the tiles are installed 180 degrees off in portions of the border of the rooms....yup....that picky. The hotel was nice and the lobby and rooms were very clean.... more

We just had our wedding at the Riu Palace Las Americas over Labor Day weekend and we had the best time! First of all, let me say that the wedding coordinator Pamela and the crews that help set up for the wedding were unbelieveable. We were there during when Hurrican Gustav was threatening to hit Cancun (which luckily it bypassed... more
