The physical setting in an attractive large garden property, the well-maintained Victorian-era inn, the roomy accommodation, the excellent individually cooked breakfasts, and the location in a beautiful town near significant Canadian historical sites combined to create one of the best away from home overnights that we have ever had. My husband and I just loved the Hillsdale B&B . Everyone was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was fabulous. If we needed to get directions, suggestions on places to see or whatever, they would help us with that also. A+. Everyone VERY friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we got there the day after Hurricane Kyle, and the mosquitos were crazy. I think they need DEET in the rooms more

Hillsdale House is an a impressive historical property - lovely old architecture and antique furniture with the modern conveniences to make our stay very comfortable. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the attention to detail of our hosts. The breakfasts were awsome with the homemade bread & muffins an added feature. The servers were so very accomodating which made a wonderful start to our visit in Annapolis Royal. Our room was very comfortable with so many extras. Superb! Superb! more

After a long drive from Halifax we were warmly welcomed to the Hillsdale. Everything is within easy walking distance and although Annapolis Royal is quiet, that's part of it's attraction.
