Traveling to Canada for summer break, we chose to take a quick tour of Toronto after our Niagara Falls sightseeing. This hotel is located downtown across from the Union Station (which is the main transportation hub of the city). Fabulous location for getting around Toronto via the public systems which are very extensive. There is a drop-off for rental cars... more

Upon entrance of this hotel there is a very nice large lobby. Its old decor is very luxurious looking and takes you into a time warp from when they built the building. Its neat, but I am more of a modern person myself. We got valet, its almost $40 a day, but much easier to deal with and when you... more

WOW... we had an amazing honeymoon stay at the Fairmont September 15-19, 2008. What started as a stressful day (our airline did not have us booked in seats together...) we arrived at the Fairmont (we sprung the extra money to stay on the "gold" floors - very worth it) to a wonderful welcome, and a surprise upgrade... The staff both... more

Stayed here on the last leg of our Canadian holiday. The huge reception area is stunning - nostalgic and atmospheric. It is a busy hotel - we were there during the film festival and it was rumoured Tarantino was staying here too. The major problem lies with the rooms. We had 4 rooms. In our room, we had no hairdryer... more

We stayed here for two nights on a trip to Niagara Falls. You really cannot beat the location. Both nights we had a room with two beds. There were lots of towels and the room was clean. The minibar was outrageously expensive but that is to be expected. We were able to get a great meal at a reasonable price... more

Stayed for four lovely days at the Royal York. A very Grand and historic Hotel with all the modern amenities. Location is great and is accessible to everything in Toronto. Just look around the lobby and elevators for the old wooden ornaments, at the same time the rooms and bed are very comfy. The Hotel actually has a touch of... more

General appointments of this Hotel are very good. Front Deck staff and Concierge staff are very efficient and helpful. Housekeeping (room servicing & cleaning) was good. Convenience to Toronto is very good - across the road from Union Station, also on the PATH Underground city. 5 minute walk from CN Tower & Rodgers Stadium & Ice Hockey Hall Of Fame.... more

I'm just returning from our lovely weekend at the Royal York in Toronto. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and we and our 2 children (13 & 7) stayed at the Royal York. The hotel is classic charm, all around. Out of necessity, certain things will never be able to be fixed: namely the super-thick walls which must make remodeling... more

Arrived at this hotel at 0300hrs due to problems with aircraft (prewarned hotel we would be arriving late) no staff available at entrance to help with luggage (the entrance the taxi took us to is not disabled friendly many steps no lift) my partner is disabled. When we checked in we were given glowsticks as there was no power in... more
