I have stayed here a number of times over the past few years and will keep coming back. Rooms are nicely furnished/appointed [classy, even], nicely sized, painfully clean, etc. Service is uniformly very strong--check-in takes a minute, if that. Location is great for shopping, theatre, museums, transit, etc. Rates are very, very good on weekends--we generally pay around $120. more

My wife and I have enjoyed more than thirty overnight stays at fifteen different hotels in Toronto over the past twenty years. We both agree that the Courtyard on Yonge offers the best option for location and overall value. The hotel is a five minute walk from the Eaton Center, less than a half-mile from Bloor Street, a block away... more

Add me to the list of reviewers praising the great service of this property which exceeds expectations for a Courtyard. Staff very helpful and competent. Room spotless. Great downtown location. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Weekend rate very reasonable. Weekday rate not so much. Only complaints: -Flat screen tv had no digital signal. Why bother installing such an energy... more

I'm just back from a trip to Toronto & stayed in this hotel. A very enjoyable experience, nice clean rooms, and the hotel was in a good spot, 2 mins walk from College Subway station, and an ideal base for getting around. Would definately use again more

The staff was the most competent I've ever seen. Check-in may have take 90 seconds from the time we went to the desk til the clerk handed us our keycards. The staff were cheerful, very welcoming and fast! As others have mentioned, the entrance is a bit off the main street. You can exit directly onto Yonge Street from the... more

The Marriott Courtyard Downtown Toronto is located at the corner of Yonge and Wood streets. The location is excellent for accessing all that downtown Toronto has to offer. The Eaton Centre shopping mall is an easy 8 minute walk and the College Subway is one very short block away. An earlier review indicated that the location was somewhat dubious with... more

Nice room. Large enough that 3 of us were not bumping into each other. Very clean. Very good service. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was the best I've seen in any hotel. Service here was also very good. Great locaton, very close to subway. Good selection of reasonably priced restaurants in walking distance. Neighborhood is... more

My girlfriend and I visited Toronto on 31st August 2008, and had booked a King Room for 3 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown through Hotels.com. After a six-and-a-half hour flight from the UK, we arrived at the Marriott to an excellent welcome from the man on Reception. He could not have been more helpful, and our check-in took... more

We have just returned from a trans canadian holdiday which began here at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Toronto. We were greeted by very friendly reception desk who responded positively to a request for a quiet room. We got one on 3rd floor away from Yonge Street and only noisy neighbours on Labour day weekend proved a brief problem. We used... more

My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown for two nights, over Labor Day weekend, 2008. The hotel was in a great location, and the breakfast buffet, of which the cost was included in our room, was outstanding. They had everything you could ever dream of for breakfast. Our only problem was that we did the "self-park" option... more
