Wonderful service, food, rooms, and all in an old monastery. All this on a cute square and across from a great museum. A few days a week there is a late afternoon tour of the facility which we unfortunately missed. Ask when you reserve when it is. Stay here if you can afford it. It is worth it. more

We recently stayed 4 nights in the Monasterio before and after a trip to Maccu Piccu. The standard rooms are small as many others have said but they are beautifully decorated and the hotel grounds are very pretty .We were fortunate to be upgraded to a junior suite for our second stay which was really lovely and definitely added to... more

We stayed at the Monasterio for two nights before visiting Machu Picchu and again for one night on our return to Cusco. We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The architecture and decor is beautiful, the food in the restaurant (we had breakfast, one lunch and one dinner) was wonderful (although dinner was a little pricey) and we had excellent service... more

We stayed here one night in September after having hiked the Inca trail. The premises itself was absolutely amazing and the cloisters looked beautiful in the moonlight. The public areas are well maintained, with lovely manicured gardens. We were able to sit in a quiet courtyard on the comfortable sun loungers in the morning and it was a real haven.... more

The Hotel Monasterio remains into a national historical landmark, protected by the INC (National Institute of Culture) and has retained its original characteristics and charm and basically, the former cloisters have been converted into our current rooms, which is the reason we have different size of rooms in the same category. Once again, please accept our apologies regarding our rooms...

We had a marvellous three-day stay in the Monasterio. Such glorious surroundings and art work, luxurious rooms and just a very short walk to the Plaza de Armas, shops and restaurants. But most importantly, what great staff. When we returned to the Monasterio from Machu Pichu, we were greeted like long lost friends. Thank you so much to Claudia Galindo,... more

I stayed at the Hotel Monasterio for two nights in a beautiful junior suite. We were able to peek into some other rooms and the junior suite well exceeded the size and beauty of a standard room. Our bed was located on the second floor with the sitting room and bath down below. The hotel itself is very beautiful with... more

We are always very sorry to read this kind of comments, and to find out that a guest did not enjoy the Monasterio. The Monastery was originally built in 1595 on the site of the palace of Inca Amaru Qhala. The hotel remains a national historical landmark, protected by the INC (National Institute of Culture) and has retained its original...

Stunning hotel as soon as you walk in the front doors. We were escorted into the lobby area (lobby bar) (which was breathtaking), were offered coca tea, and we relaxed as the check in process was proceeding. After that we were taken to our oxygenated room. The grounds of this hotel are really amazing and beautiful w/ pretty courtyards, fountains,... more
