This was cerntainly one of the memorable experience of my life to stay their at Lal Mahal. It was a by chance. This hotel was build by the maharaja of madho singh. Its a old and beautiful monument. This hotel is definitely worth going to. It was a hunting lodge, and you sleep in luxury tents in the garden. The tents are wonderfully romantic, it feels great to be in such surroundings. We stayed here for 1 night in January as part of a Kuoni tour. The hotel is in a lovely setting and has an enthusisastic staff who are keen for games of cricket on the lawn! This hotel was once a Raj's hunting lodge. The special thing about it is that most of the accomodation is in tents! There are about 20 luxury tents set out on the Palace lawns. They are all air-conditioned and very well appointed with proper plumbed bathrooms etc. There twin beds that are really comfortable. I had a fab night's sleep.... more
