Jaipur Clarks Amer hotel Date 01/11/2008. Premier man ,Tipperary ,Ireland. Stayed at the Clarks Amer 13/14 oct 08, we were a little anxious after reading some iffy reviews here.We found this hotel to be very nice, staff good, lovely room, great breakfast, nice pool (which was great after a hard days siteseeing), very good roof top restaurant ,a bit expensuve... more
I will start by saying that there is nothing wrong with this hotel, so if you are booked here as part of a tour, don't despair. It is clean, has central A/C, and the staff are generally helpful. And, they have solved the pigeon problem mentioned in some earlier reviews (netting covering the windows). That being said, I do not... more
The Hotel stay was a real good experience. The food was delicious and service good. Evenings are exceptional. more
This hotel should NOT be considered 5 Star. The room was ok, but the bathroom was dated. Overall, the hotel had been upgraded to a better standard and the rooms were much nicer. In... more
The hotel staff were extremely unhelpful and rude. The hotel was advertised as being three km from the airport but the hotel rate for their taxis were five times any taxi that you could get on the street. There was only one English speaking channel (a news/advertising station). Also, the room service was more expensive than the Oberoi (a luxury... more
i stayed there in january 2007, its really a nice hotel far from the hustle & bustle of the main tourist centre and good place to relax after hectic tour, i found everythingood of this hotel except the pigeon problem, food was also really nice & its close to newly developed city centre, where one can try local cheap food. more
This hotel was one of three I stayed in as part of an expensive Golden Triangle Tour I purchased on the internet through the Delhi -based travel agency Diplomatic Holiday, a company I would never conduct business with ever again. Although rated as a 5 star property and although it is no better than a standard North American Holiday Inn... more
