The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. The rooms are way overpriced , they charge for internet , and they stop serving breakfast at 9am. Also , not the cleanest either...there were the same room service food trays in the hallway for atleast 12 hrs and you had to walk around them . Im glad... more

Having spent a week in Chicago, we headed to Des Moines and the Embassy suites for a couple of days. Very easy to find and we had a lovely room on the 8th (top) floor overlooking the front of the hotel. The two rooms of the suite were large with extra sinks in the lounge and bedroom which were useful.... more

We stayed at this Embassy Suites for one night in the middle of a recent trip. The location of the hotel was fantastic. The east village was an easy walk from the hotel and then the other direction was the main part of downtown. All very accessible by foot. The hotel itself is right on the river, and the atrium... more

My girlfriend and I decided to stay at the Embassy Suites for a short trip away from the apartment, and a relaxing night in the hot tub. Well, as we were checking in, it stated that the hot tub was closed for maintenance. We knew we were in for it after that. We went up to the room and the... more

Rarely do I find a property where I have nothing (but great feedback) to say. Clean as a whistle (ok there were fingerprints on the bedroom window). Great service. Room was spotless. Carpeting didn't need vacuming. Bathroom was spotless. Bedspread was clean. Etc. Only negatives: one half ounce shampoo and conditioner sizes. more

I was looking for a place downtown where I wouldn't need a car. The Marriott and Renaissance were closer but over my budget. The Embassy Suites was $139/night in comparison to over $200 for the Marriott and (closer to $300) the Renaissance, and Embassy Suites includes breakfast. Breakfast includes made to order omlettes - a real bonus at this price... more

Excellent Customer Service, OVER-Sized Rooms, Clean and very nice hoteI. I have stayed at 5 star resorts and I was pleasantly surpised to see the attention of the staff here, upon my late arrival. I was hungry and tired after being delayed at airports all day & the staff went above and beyond to accomodate my requests. I would recommend... more

We stayed here 4 nights as part of a class reunion, and were pleasantly surprised. It's convenient to downtown but simple to reach with a car as well. We have stayed at Embassy Suites elsewhere, and these rooms seemed larger. The double beds were clean and fresh looking. The bedroom was a bit sparse, but had a second sink area... more

We stayed in Des Moines on the way from Ohio to Yellowstone. We were originally set to stay at the Residence Inn in West Des Moines, only because it was a Sunday night and we thought maybe there wouldn't be much happening downtown. We got to town, walked all over and were pleasantly surprised! We decided to switch our reservation... more
