Me and my fiancé decided to elope to Las Vegas. Our immediate families decided to come as well, we all stayed at the Tropicana because it was one of the cheapest places to stay. Our families stayed in the Garden Rooms. They were right next to a small parking lot which was very easy to get to. Barely any walking... more

I attended a conference November 6 & 7 which was being held at The Tropicana. For convienience sake I called and paid the $150.00 per night "special rate" for conference attendees. BIG MISTAKE. Good: I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 in the morning and was quickly checked into my first room. These rooms have not been updated since, hmm...about... more

Let me start by saying stay far far away from this place!! I live in San Diego and my girlfriend and I and a couple of friends decided to drive out to Vegas on a whim. We checked the website and found a room last minute for about 100 bucks. When we arrived we checked in to find that our... more

We were enticed to make a last-minute trip by an email from the Tropicana offering $37/night midweek. Reading the reviews, I knew this rate was for the dreaded Garden Rooms, which should be avoided by most. So we booked two nights and arrived at the front desk all smiles and politeness. We talked them down from $30 to $20/night upgrade... more

I was very hesitant to stay at the Trop after reading reviews but we were already booked for a terrific price. Once we arrived I was pleasantly surpirsed by the friendly hotel staff. We mentioned that today was our anniversary and they upgraded us to a tower room. Not to mention champagne and cake was delivered to our room. The... more

We reached a little later than we reserved the hotel for but the staff was very helpful. Since they didn't have any of the standard rooms, that we reserved, available, they gave us a free upgrade and a few casino coupons as well. View from the room was nice, sheets were clean and bathroom was hygenic. Overall a nice stay. more

Some of the review of this hotel may scare you. In my traveling experience, I tend to go for what's economical, and so I went ahead and booked this hotel. The location is GREAT and that's the greatest pro of this hotel. The place is old, and feels dingy, especially the room decor which seems to be from the 70s.... more

The room was dingy beyond belief, not to be overshadowed by the filth of the linens, including bedding which had fresh blood on the sheets and hair interwoven into the torn blanket. The walls and headboards were so dirty that I wanted to wash them before we unpacked, but the towel had fresh mascara on it!! We requested a non-smoking... more

We stayed for one night and the place was a dump. The furniture in our room was old and torn the pictures on the wall were peeling. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling and the room was 50 degrees all night and the heat didn't work. I would NEVER stay again. Don't waste your money. more
