My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in September 2008. The location in the Gas Lamp District is convenient. There are numerous restuarants, cafes and clubs within walking distant. I favor Marriotts for the quality of service but this one topped them all. Concierge, valet, dining and bar staff just wonderful. And what a location! The lobby is so majestic too. more

we had no problems during our stay except that the parking is $24 per day! not a lot of nearby street parking so you have to pay. typical downtown situation. great location but parking .... the building is cool, rooms and hotel newly renovated. more

Booked hotel thru priceline for travel from Aug.30th to Sep. 2nd. Checkin was very fast and front desk was very helpful and friendly( I think her name was Rayna). Great architecture for a hotel, and it does look like a former bank still; great marble and woodwork. Staff was great - they gave me a room with a view of the harbor. Large king room with good internet access. Bose radios in the rooms. I didn't use the restaurant but there is one and the bar looked pretty active... more
