My stay here was great. I payed around 400 for the weekend. The room was small but it was clean, Bathroom was clean. Staff was nice even gave me some info on where I should go, being my first time to NYC. The block its on is very quiet and close to the flat iron building and madison square park.... more

La Semana Hotel - This is the worst place I have ever seen! they put false publicity on the web! La Semana Hotel - DO NOT GO THERE! La Semana Hotel - Toilet door does not close! La Semana Hotel - Bath in the room! transparent curtain. La Semana Hotel - if you take the jacuzzi room, well it does... more

Hotels at NYC are generally old, but this place is an ABSOLUTE DUMP! I felt like I was in a 3rd world hostel. DO NOT STAY HERE. I made the mistake of booking this hotel after being fooled by pleasant photos on their website, but what a huge mistake that was! The sheets and blankets were not clean. The walls... more

This was possibly the worst hotel i have stayed in in 10 years! The staff seemed bemused that I had booked and couldn't find any paperwork - they then photocopied my passport and took a credit card payment (couldn't help feeling this was to clone my card). The first room offered was dark and airless with a huge jacuzzi and... more

I just stayed here for the weekend. We stayed in a shared bathroom room. Both the room and bathroom were very clean and we felt very safe. The room was small, with one bed for the two of us (mom and daughter) but we were up early in the morning and returned late at night. There is so much to... more

I travel all the time and understand that NYC hotels overall have a lower standard, but this hotel was the worst place I have ever stayed at. Not worth even bothering looking at it. Dirty, no shower curtain, no windows, air conditioner went out several times, and cramped. Simply put, disgusting and was actually embarrased to be seen walking into... more

We booked this hotel directly from the New York phone directory to move from another hotel which was too far from the action. The words "romantic" "hot-tub room" and "sound proofed walls" should have rung bells but didn't! This wasn't what I'd call a bad hotel or we wouldn't have stayed for 3 nights but it is sleazy and very... more

I am not a picky person, but this hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. It was fairly clean, but we had two towels that had to last us three nights, no face rag or hand towels were offered. There were two roaches we had to kill on the second night. The tv had three working channels. Two... more

Two words: HOURLY RATES! By no means am I a fussy traveler. I've roughed it in some real sketchy hotels and hostels throughout Europe and the US. But this place is by far the worst hotel ever. Upon check-in, the clerk had no "recolection" of my reservation, nor our pre-payment. He didn't bother to check his computer - the same... more

Our room had no window, a disconnected air conditioner (finally activated after we spent a sleepless night in the stuffy, nonmoving air) that was located 8 feet up the wall (so we had to stand on the tub sides to reach the controls), no towel rack, no water glasses (no ice bucket, because there's no ice machine), minimal lighting (three... more
