I'm from Florida, and frankly the Cuban food there is much better, which isn't surprising. But for Cuban in Portland, it was good enough. The decor is bright and fun. I love the intimacy of the place. The prices can't be beat. The empanadas were pretty small, but decent. The classic Cuban sandwich was good, but not the best I've... more
Despite feeling crowded, we liked the atmosphere of this small restaurant. The service was friendly, and the food interesting and tasty. Good prices for the quality. more

Great if you come at the right time (ie-early bird, happy hour time) but I wouldn't wait an hour for a table. Food is good, tables are cozy (read: crowded). more
Had a terrifc lunch at Pambiche today and felt I must share. Found out about the place through posts both here and on chow and boy am I glad we did. Our lunch was on the later side (2:00) so we were able to get right in. Between my wife and I, we had a pork sandwich, fish sandwich, black... more
DAMN good lunch and such an interesting menu. Can't wait to get back there. more
Inexpensive! The place is really cheery. Great service and tasty food. The dessert and drink selections are awesome. more

Pambiche has an executive pastry chef, and it shows--it's one of those rare places where the desserts actually taste as good as they look. (And believe me, they look *amazing*--we ordered one thing that came... more
The food at Pambiche is like nothing else in Portland. They also have many imported beers from South America that are difficult to find elsewhere. The only drawback to Pambiche is that it is often crowded, especially in the summertime. more
