We ate here twice and loved it! The beignets were better than Cafe DuMonde's. Don't expect bone china and fancy silverware - it's good simple cafe food - bagel sandwiches, eggs, grits, etc. and a great place to start your day! more

I got to the Cafe Beignet on Royal early one morning. The cafe itself is charming in appearance. Lovely little tables, big doors that lead out to the street or courtyard. I dined here for breakfast on 4/15/07. I had the cajun hasbrowns, which came with scrambled eggs and bread. The hashbrowns were very good, but the eggs were overcooked and rubbery. This place is not fancy at all (they use paper cups and plasticware) but it has very pleasant courtyard seating and a great location. It's pretty cheap too. more

This is a simple place with wonderful Beignet's...I had a simple breakfast here that was nice as well....not fancy but ok when you are in a rush and don't want to "dine" more
