there is a outdoor market,sure its on a saturday,near rembrandt sq..i have been to it,got stalls with loads of old records and stuff like that...iam sure an amsterdam local will help you better with this question,they will knoe what iam referring to...

Its a little old but the shops should still be open. I definately know the one on the Ferdinand Bol Straat is as I passed it the other day. I also passed a large one a few days agao and for the life of me I can't remember where it was. Are you looking for new or second hand?

Have a look at Concerto on Utrechtsestraat, there is also one near Nieuwmarkt,walk toward Waterlooplein on Jodenbreestraat it is about 100 yards along on right (in basement) I can't remember the name but it is pretty obvious.

Twice a year there is an open record/CD market on Nieuwmarkt with about 30 stalls.

there's one vinyl record shop around leidsplein - it could be wateringschans. i think it sells dance stuff

Concerto also have quite a selection of CD's both new and used,if you follow directions above to the other record shop but on left hand side is a 2nd hand CD shop
