The hotel is charmingly cozy with a very friendly, helpful staff. The location is great, just steps away from the Latin Quarter and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. We loved the plentiful, scrumptious buffet breakfast which we were thrilled to have included in the room rate. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to our travelling friends!

I would recommend the Hotel des Grands Hommes to anyone looking for a hotel which is reasonable, exquisitely furnished and decorated, close to sites and subways, quiet, clean with very friendly attentive staff. Truly the best hotel we stayed in on our two week tour of London, Scotland and Paris. A gem.

We just spent nine glorious days at the Hotel des Grands Hommes. The rooms are well appointed, and our fifth floor room had a lovely balcony looking out over the nearby Pantheon. The service was impeccable--professional, attentive, gracious, and congenial. The staff made excellent restaurant recommendations for us as well. The location couldn't be better--two blocks from the RER Luxembourg station (across the street from the Luxembourg Gardens), which goes direclty to both Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports. It's also a five-minute walk to the Place de la Contrascarpe, a beautiful area with cafes, restaurants, and shops. We ate in that area each morning instead of the 12-Euro breakfast in the hotel (which isn't bad). I wouldn't stay anywhere else but this place. I can't wait for our next visit.

An excellent hotel in a great location. Watch out for Paris in August, many of the good restaurants close for their summer holidays.
