“A Real Gem!”

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It is located on a quiet canal, away from the crowds, but near to bars, trattoria and shops frequented by locals. Hence the prices in the adjoining neighbourhood are very reasonable, an important consideration in expensive Venice! The hotel itself is beautifully presented, very luxuious rooms, spotlessly clean and quiet, with helpful, multilingual staff. If I had to make one picky little point, I would say the breakfast isn't quite up to 4 star standards. There are the usual juices, fruit, cereals and pastries, but if you want anything hot to eat, you have to pay extra. The coffee is not that great either. However, that aside, the overall experience was wonderful and I highly recommend this hotel.

“Perfect Anniversary”

Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel

My husband took me on a surprise visit to Venice for our first wedding anniversary. I found out that he had done alot of research into hotels in Venice to find a good hotel in a quiet location with good reviews. It certainly ticked all the boxes.

We had a superior room with a lovely terrace which we used one evening (when it wasn't raining!). The room was a good size with a nice bathroom and very clean. The location of the hotel in a residential part of Venice suited us well - we were happy to get away from the hustle and bustle, eat in cheaper places and buy our bottled water from the local supermarket (for about 20p for a large bottle).

Breakfast in the morning was very nice and included in the price of the room. We also used the hotel bar a few times and enjoyed an evening watching Italy play Holland in Euro 2008 with the staff. They were all very friendly and professional. It's not cheap though! We bought a bottle of champagne in duty free and put it in our mini bar fridge so that we could celebrate in style without breaking the bank.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable, we enjoyed mixing with the locals and being in a quiet spot. If we ever go to Venice again, we would definitely stay here.

My wife and I were there for a honeymoon. Stayed there for a week. Really a beautiful hotel. You should check out the rooms. They are gorgeous and unique, especially the interior and the bathroom. They even use Etro bath supplies. Imagine!! Breakfast was average, but don't expect more in Europe. Front staff were friendly and helpful to guide us. A definite choice if you want authenticity and serene environment.

“a little gem”

Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights a few weeks ago as part of our honeymoon tour of Italy and France. We personally cannot fault it. The hotel is presented wonderfully. Staff were brilliant. Our ground floor room was spacious and luxourious. Bathroom good too. Perfect after a not so good hotel in Paris the nights before. Breakfast was great. Its set back in the peaceful streets, but near enough to wander everywhere. The streets feel really safe and buzzing at night.

Ended both nights outside enjoying bellinis and then into the bar. We had a great time and would recommend it.

“Loved it!”

Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel

May 24, 2008

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the place! Our hotel room was amazing for the price we were paying, we even had a terrace! Although the hotel is situated a good distance from St. Mark's Sq. and the Rialto Bridge (about 15 mins walk, if you can navigate your way successfully through the streets!), there are plenty of nice restaurants around, and we found a lovely Irish pub in San Jeramia.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The only bad points were the breakfast and hotel bar. Breakfast includes the bare minimal, with extras like orange juice and a slice of ham at €3 and €6 respectively. The hotel bar is also VERY small and there's not much life in it either, but that seems to be the Venitian way as bars were few and far between!

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — Quality of the hotel tooms, and the friendliness of the staff
    • Disliked — Small bar, breakfast wasn't very substantial
