“Perfect!”

We went to several places on our European adventure and my husband was responsible for finding/booking the Venice hotel room. I was skeptical b/c he said it was somewhat out of the main tourist area. Well, he did an excellent job and this was the best hotel of our trip! Don't get me wrong--it's not a super luxurious hotel, but it is a clean, pretty, friendly hotel in a wonderful area. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the room was cozy and beautiful, and the area was quiet and beautiful. After traveling around Europe for two weeks, I was thrilled to NOT be staying in the middle of the tourist area! It was only a 15-20 minute (great) walk into town and as soon as I got there, I wanted to go back "to our neighborhood!" The restaurant they recommended was wonderful--we went twice! If you stay at his hotel, you get a real taste of italy and Venice. And don't worry--it is extremely safe. It is highly recommended! Only problem was that the internet/computer did not work, but who needs the internet?? :)

My only recommendation is that they update the directions to the hotel on the website--we got lost trying to find it!

“Great Hotel”

Arrived at the hotel to be told there was a problem with the electrics in the room. They arranged for us to stay in a nearby hotel room for 1 night and collected and delivered our bags to and from the new hotel. For the inconvenience they upgraded our room for the remainder of the the stay and gave us a complimentary basket of fruit.
We stayed in 5 hotels during our stay in Italy and this was easily the best. The standard of the rooms were very high, breakfast was of good quality and the staff were extremely helpful.

Even with the inconvenience of the first night, I would gladly recommend this hotel. It is near to the vaporetta stop (although it is quicker to walk to the sights), in the residential area of the island.

“Perfect start to the honeymoon”

Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel

As this was the first destination on our honeymoon, the pressure was on for this to be a good choice. Having already read the reviews, we were still apprehensive, but there was no need to be. This hotel was a great start to a fantastic holiday and just what we hoped for.

The location is lovely. It is on a quiet canal in one of the residential suburbs, but is just 5 minutes walk to a water taxi stop. This means that the distance from the main train station or the drop off point for the mainland buses is not a big deal. We made life difficult for ourselves and dragged our cases from the airport shuttle bus to the hotel, but I recommend familiarising yourself with the water taxi's, buying a decent length ticket (we ended up buying a 36-hour one much later) and then saving yourself the struggle!

The hotel was very welcoming and after a hot battle with our cases, was lovely and cool, with excellent air-conditioning. Our room was reached through a labryinth of corridors, but with the aid of a friendly porter who managed all luggage and direction for us. Once in the room, it was very comfortable, with an additional daybed, lots of space, both large wardrobe and bathroom, and all the usual amenities you might expect from a hotel of this standard.

There was an internet access point near the lobby and a lovely bar with a friendly barman manning it. The staff were all helpful and knowledgeable, able to direct us whenever needed. Even at breakfast we were greeted with charm and smiles. The complimentary breakfast was good - slightly more extensive than the usual continental breakfasts at other places stayed in by either of us previously, and the fruit flan was a definite bonus for me personally.

Overall this is a great hotel.

We travel a lot and were very pleasantly surprised with our stay here. The room was absolutely beautiful and I am one of those people that dont plan on spending much time in our room when we travel. The details were fabulous! Very warm, romantic and comfortable and functional.
The hotel is right on a canal and within easy walking distance of a Vaperotto Station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

“Perfect Hotel in Veneto”

This place was great. Away from all of the hustle/bustle but a 5 minute walk from the shops, farmers market and gelatto! The staff was fabulous. We were there 3 nights. The breakfast was fairly good-continental.

Only one warning. They put us in rooms in the 500 section which was underground almost-like being in a basement. No view. Granted we were gone most of the day but an evening view would have been nice. I had booked our trip and requested upper levels 3 months prior.

Otherwise the place is clean, beautiful and quiet.

Enjoy!!
