“nice place”

Residenza degli Angeli

Jul 4, 2008

We stayed here in June, and were met by the owner at the vaperetto stop thankfully as its quite hard to find, once at the B&B she sat us down and answered any questions we had and pointed out the best places to go, things to do. Our room was nice, overlooking a courtyard, they were having problems with the aircon when we arrived but this seemed to be fixed when we returned later that evening, on our second night I found it hard to sleep as the aircon was switching on and off quite a lot, it stayed off for a good 2 hours which made the room unbearably hot, only to come back on again in the morning, this happened again on our last night, which is a shame as this spoiled what would have been a very nice stay. The breakfast was nice and light although we didnt get to take full advantage of this as we had to leave for the airport at 6.30am and they only serve breakfast from 8am-10.30am.

“B&B In a Quiet Area, but Good Location”

Residenza degli Angeli

Santa Barbara, CA

We only stayed in Venice two days and we were looking for a place that was not in the St. Mark's area, but close by. This B&B is within walking distance to everything, but on the other side of the canal from St. Mark's in a quiet neighborhood. We were met at the canal boat station by Mario. He walked us through some winding streets to the B&B. It was not difficult to remember how to get to the B&B. Mario showed us on a map where were some sites along with great recommendation for restaurants (which we took advantage of). Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning was okay, juice, coffee, yogurt and rolls. It was easy to explore Venice from the B&B. Mario and his wife were always willing to help you with maps to get you where you wanted to go, along with other suggestions. We met other lovely travelers while staying there. It definitely is a place to stay while in Venice.

“wonderful B&B”

Quiet part of city - you get to wander a bit to get there, but close to the Rialto (5-10 min walk) and close to the S.Silvestro water bus stop (less than 5 min walk). Huge bedroom (by European standards) with shared bath down the hall. Everything was very clean. Mario was very nice and a great host. He really enjoys chatting with the travellers and was willing to recommend some good restaurants nearby.

“wonderful hideaway”

we enjoyed our stay with Mario and his wife. Cozy little spot for our honeymoon, in the middle of everything, yet hidden on a small back street. Clean rooms, but like everywhere else in Venice, you can hear your neighbors shout. Decent breakfast; very friendly owners with excellent and affordable restaurant recommendations in the surrounding area. We would definitely come back.

“Very nice place”

What an interesting place! A fascinating place in in wonderful city. The proprietors are very helpful and interesting folks. They will meet you at the vaporetta stop, walk you back to the property, sit you down and detail the local shops, banks and restaurants on a detailed local map.

Esmaralda also walked us to a recommended restaurant, and when we could not be seated there, walked us to an alternate (which was excellent).

The room my daughter and I had was small, had a nice view of the neighbor's courtyard, and was well decorated with appropriate furniture, drapes, and bedspreads.

Breakfast was juice, coffee or tea, and a tasty fruit filled croissant. Just right.

A good choice for a budget trip to Venice.
