It was a real pleasure staying at this hotel for a number of reasons. 1) Comfort and decor were very good. 2) Location: very close to San Marco but relatively quiet / exclusive area - nice shops etc. 3) The suite was perfect for sharing with our two 8 year olds. 4) The staff were very helpful at all times. 5) Room service was reasonably priced. We opted for the breakfast (served in the room) on one day of our stay - it was excellent and more than ample (too much) - @12 euro a head we found it expensive ( because our children just wanted juice and bread) and we could find a good breakfast for at least half this price in local bars. It was our first trip to Venice and the experience was greater than our expectations, in part this was because we enjoyed this hotel as a family. We will certainly be recommending this accommodation to friends.

Don't hesitate to stay here - it's a lovely hotel, well deserving of its Trip Advisor awards. We stayed in 501 - 2 huge rooms, (I massive double bed, 2 double sofa beds) 2 bathrooms, kitchen and dining area. Beautifully decorated and quiet location; pretty views of canal. Very helpful front desk staff, helped with great restaurant recommendations and airport travel logistics. Ample breakfasts, plenty of variety, served in room (no restaurant in the hotel). Central - short walk from St Marks. Free 15 mins internet use via lobby pc - useful for flight check-in etc. Our teenager complained that the sofa bed matress was a bit hard! Great shopping nearby (above Armani) and numerous reastaurants in the vicinity.

July 10-16, 2008. A steal for Venezia; includes gondola traffic ("Oye!!!"), singers and musicians (on the boats) - just open your window. Top service; used the kitchen to save a small fortune on breakfast and supper, thus we could splurge on lunch. (Two people, three courses and a mezzo of vino is often well over 100 euros!) Learn to shop and stock the little fridge. Absolutely would stay here again.

I stayed here for six nights with my one year old and my mother. It was absolutely fantastic - central but quiet and you could watch the gondolas right outside the window floating down the canal. The hotel supplied a high chair and cot and it was very easy to cater due to the excellent kitchen facilities within the apartment. I slept in the lounge diner, my baby slept in a walk in wardrobe area and I let grandma have the main bedroom. There were two bathrooms. It was all spotless, loads of space and very tasteful with lovely wooden beamed ceilings. It is certainly a bargain considering the standard and location. You felt totally part of the action even whilst eating your breakfast, as you watched the gondolas float by. St Marks Square is less than five mins walk and the rialto about 7 mins. One recommendation if you are travelling with a baby - take a backpack type thing as carrying prams over all the bridges which have stairs cut into them and which are everywhere is not great for the back! The water taxi took us too and from the airport and went right to the front door - don't let them tell you the water is too high - they said that to us but then when they realised we had a baby they magically managed to get us right to the hotel by canal!
