We decided to stay at this gem of a hotel after reading the wonderful reveiws on Trip Advisor, and it did not disappoint. Donatella, Guido, and the entire staff helped us with everything from restaurant reservations to tracking down lost luggage. We took a water taxi from the airport directly to the hotels doorstep. It was expensive, but well worth it, especially with luggage. Venice is not the easiest place to get around with luggage. The hotel is located right around the corner from St. Marks Square, away from all of the crowds and noise. It is tucked away on a charming little street that's easy to find once you have been there.
We stayed in 2 apartments on the 4th floor that were both spacious and clean. We looked forward to returning to them each evening after a long day of sightseeing. We did not use the kitchen, but did order breakfast from the hotel on the last morning of our stay. It was both plentiful and well worth the cost of 12 euros per person.
We will always remember our trip to Venice and the wonderful hospitality we received at the Residence Corte Grimani.
