Terrific location- quiet, safe and easy to get around on foot or with tram. Helpful staff. Beautiful rooms. Loved the bar/resto next door (Momo).

we booked this short break to amsterdam for 2 couples, having being to amsterdam before we decided that if we wanted a good hotel we would need to book at least a 4* we paid £600 per couple for 3 nights.

when we arrived the reception was lovely, but when checking in we were told we have 2 pay 15% city tax as well as 100 euro per couple as a deposit for the mini bar...with hesitation we paid it but were unhappy about this...

when giving our room number we were told to follow a man made hallway which was a health hazard,being on the 3rd floor we had to use the lift with our luggage the life was the most scariest thing ive ever cin in a hotel...
the rooms wer weird with ur bathroom in ur bed room and just a frosted door which flodded everytime u used it to cover ur modesty...

there was a lot of refurbishment going on.........beware.......

the only goog thing i can sayabout this hotel is that the best id so0o0o comfy....

Just returned from a long weekend in the Dam. My hubby has stayed at the Park previously and was very impressed with the refurb. We had room 416 on the fourth floor (obviously) which was a very modern double room with LCD tv, ultra modern black tiled bathroom with chrome fittings, very comfortable double bed, air-con (thank goodness, it was very hot that weekend), mini bar, hairdryer etc etc.

Check-in was quick and easy, and a porter took our luggage to the room. I had requested a quiet room and this is exactly what we got - the view was over the roof tops rather than the canal/road which meant that there was no traffic noise at all.

We stayed on room only basis. As the hotel is finishing off the renovations there was a little bit of work going on but nothing to disrupt our stay apart from the lift breaking down on the morning we were leaving, so had to carry out luggage down the stairs. Could not be helped.

The location of the hotel is great - just over the road Vondel Park, and some good bars and restaurants. Leidsplein is a 5 mins walk away and there are many shops, restaurants and bars there to try.

We had a special price for this hotel which was why we chose it, but will definitely stay there again.

Stayed for 2 nights with friends on a weekend trip to Amsterdam. The location is great - right by a canal where you can pick up boat tours, Van Gogh Museum, the Vondelpark, and about 5 minutes walk from the bars / restaurants around Leidseplein (much nicer than Dam Square / Central Station area). The Red Light District / Dam Square are about a 20 minute walk or a short tram journey, but to be honest it is great not to be right amongst the hordes of tourists (especially the stag/hen parties). There are lots of nice streets to explore on foot around the hotel with bars/cafes/restaurants where you can experience a slice of real Amsterdam life. The reception area and rooms have been recently refurbished and are modern and stylish. The breakfast room has not yet been done, and is a bit shabby compared the the other parts of the hotel, but I assume it is next on the list for the refurb! All in all a great base to explore Amsterdam from.
