This is the third time I visited Hotel Tagoo and I am really happy that I came back again this year! We were five happy Swedes that went this time and we spent 12 fantastics days here! Hotel Tagoo is a greek dream close to the sea with a fabolous view and fantastic sunsets every night. Anna and Yanni who owns the hotel takes such good care of you during the stay and we felt like we were their personal guests. The poolarea and the bar is great for spending late afternoons and evenings. Jimmy in the bar plays great lounge-music and is always open for a chat. Drinks are good and affordable and you can have a chat with other guests at the hotel if you´d like. Anna helps you with great suggestions for restaurants, beaches, bars and nightclubs and also with renting cars and scooters. Leah takes care of you during breakfast and has always a smile on her face! Mykonos town is only a 10-15 minutes walk away and is a great city! Really good restaurants and bars and a great and "sofisticated" nightlife if you feel like it. Beaches on Mykonos are marvellous!! Whether you like a more calm getaway or if you want peoplewathing and music. My personal favourite - wich was a suggestion from Anna - is Peregha beach with a fantastic restaurant and bar; Kalua wich also plays really good music during the whole day and has a good party in late afternoon.
I definately recommend Mykonos and Hotel Tagoo to everyone I know and I will absolutely come back again myself!!
Thanks Anna and Yanni for this time!!

“Missing Mykonos”

Came back last Monday from a two week stay at the Hotel Tagoo on Mykonos. It was our honeymoon and we were looking for somewhere close enough (we're from England) for travelling not to be too tiring. Tagoo was brilliant for the chill out we needed. Spent a lot of time by the pool, enjoying the absolutely amazing view from the hotel (it's definitely one of the best on the island), watching the yachts and cruise ships and having pizzas made for us by Jimmy and Tony. The staff at the hotel were great. The reviews are true! Anna runs things in a really friendly way, she's full of ideas, big smiles, lots of laughs, introducing you to other people there. It's not "happy campers" though, there's no pressure to join in - you can opt in or out of the social life of the hotel, but it's small enough to actually get to know and have fun with other people if you want to. So relaxed he's horizontal Yannis kept on bumping into us on the way from town to the hotel (oh, and it's really not that far) and giving us lifts. Lia (if that's how you spell it) is great for a post-beakfast chat and extra tips on beaches. As for the rest of the island, it's party and fun, it's barren and a bit dusty, but it's chic too. It's not like Saturday night out in your average English town - no fights or throwing up! We loved the night life in town, brilliant food, amazing atmosphere. Nothing quite like eating fresh sea food with the waves lapping right by you. It was great, we heartily recommend it!

“A Unique and Wonderful Experience”

Hotel Tagoo

5 of 5 stars
Atlanta, GA
Jul 29, 2008

Hotel Tagoo is a rare find - believe the reviews!! I booked this hotel because of all the amazing feedback on Tripadvisor and found it to be even better than I expected. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived: Anna picked us up in her car at the port, gave us a map and great advice on restaurants, car rental, transportation to other islands, beaches, everything! We were introduced to the other guests and ended up meeting and partying with wonderful people from all over the world. Watching the sunset while sipping Jimmy's fabulous cocktails, lounging on white sunbeds overlooking the ocean, relaxing on your private balcony, or just spending time with Anna, the hotel's proprietor - all of these are experiences we will not soon forget. Anna, we love you and will be back next year!!

“Great find in Mykonos”

My friend and I stayed in Mykonos for 4 nights in early July. We booked the hotel directly with Anna who was great from start to finish. She was prompt to answer emails and her husband, Yanni, picked us up from our ferry upon arrival. The rooms are clean and perfect for a location where you don't want to spend too much time in the room. The hotel location is superb with a fantastic view of the water. Each night we were able to watch the sun go down as it the sunset belonged to us!! The pool is great and was hard to leave but with over 20 beaches on Mykonos, it's worth getting up from on a day or two. The hotel is just a 15 minute walk to town, which is easy and safe, although I wouldn't suggest doing it in heels. The hotel is small enough to get to know the other travelers well but large enough that you don't feel on top of each other. Since the hotel pool is so wonderful and you may easily spend all day there as well as nights watching the sun go down, I would keep track of your bar bill. Jimmy, the bartendar, simply prints your receipt and places it in a folder which is then added up upon your departure. At that point, you don't quite remember what you ordered so you may be surprised with a large bill so best to keep a mental running tab. While everyone was great in this family run business, I did feel at times that the personal touch was missing and it was too much of a business for them, neglecting to focus on each customer individually. Be careful, hotel pools are charged to your room per each day's use and many small items are nickeled and dimed. I would suggest this as a great hotel for a group of friends. You will have a wonderful time!

“Hotel Tagoo Rocks!!”

We are just recently back from a short trip around a few islands in the Cyclades and had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel. What really sets this hotel apart from the rest is the hard work and effort that Anna, Yiannis, and staff put into running it. Their hospitallity is second to none from the moment they picked us up at the port to when they dropped us off at the airport. Further evidence of the quality of the hotel and staff was apparent by the number of repeat guests that come back to stay at the hotel year after year.
