Just like everyone says, this is an experience you can't really get in a traditional zoo. The guides are young and informative, speaking english throughout the tour. You really do get to pet a few crocodiles and giant lizards and the "free rein" wild monkeys did follow us around a little, including the baby. Too cute. The one tip that I'm glad we took serious note of is the need for mosquito spray. Although the zoo is right off the highway, it truly is in the jungle and combine that with crocodile swamp water, etc. the bugs were in full force. Put the spray on before you arrive and don't be afraid to spray it on numerous times. Even the native guides were using mosquito repellent. Take it, use it and enjoy. And don't forget to give your guide a tip. They really appreciate it and they are doing a great job.
