We've stayed at many five star places in Australia, but the service at this place was far beyond anything else we've experience in Australia. The staff were pleasant and helpful, without being snooty.

The rooms were fantastic: great views, great amenities. And the location was perfect. Right in Circular Quay.

Highly recommended.

We have just had a lovely one-night stay in a one bedroom harbour view apartment at the Quay Grand Suites. The first thing I should mention is the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and we immediately felt right at home.
Our room was spacious with a lovely view of The Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay ferry station and concourse, and good sized bathroom with spa. The fixtures and furniture were a little dated, but the apartment had everything that was needed for a fantastic stay. The bed was comfortable, plenty of towels and a fully functioning kitchenette with coffee mugs, toaster, microwave etc. It would be easy to stay here for a week and have everything you need at your fingertips. There are also movies on demand and a flat screen TV in both lounge and bedroom areas. Plenty of wardrobe space too!
With Circular Quay ferry and train stations, bus stops and The Opera House right on the door step, it's perfect for those who want to be centrally located in the city.
There are lots of restaurants to choose from and the hotel itself has room service and a restaurant and bar. We enjoyed the breakfast which was delivered promptly at 9 am, (it needed a slight reheating but otherwise was delicious).
The only drawback was the sound of the ferry whistles early in the morning. I am an early riser and it didn't bother me a jot, but I could imagine if someone was a light sleeper and wanted a lie-in, it might be annoying. All in all it was a very nice experience.

Wow, what a stunning view and position, and what a pleasure it was to stay here for five days whilst hubby was running a conference. I absolutely loved Quay Grand as we had booked a one bedroom suite overlooking Sydney harbour and the bridge. One would never ever tire of this view as it’s stunning and also highly entertaining watching the ferries come and go.

The hotel is located in absolute prime position just two minutes away from the Opera House and one minute from Circular Quay. The Botanical Gardens are across the road and the Rocks just a quick 5 minute stroll. Bingo…..Sydney’s top Hotel.

Our apartment was roomy with a separate bedroom which looked directly out onto the water . The lounge combined dining room had spectacular views of Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge and with a glass of vino at night on the balcony we fell totally in love with our own city.

The apartment also has a DVD player, broadband and two plasma TV’s. The bathroom is spacious with a lovely spa bath and walk-in shower.

The hotel has a fabulous bar located on the mezzanine level 3 called ECQ and its fun sipping cocktails overlooking our gorgeous city. The restaurant Quadrant is fine dining and expensive but we did enjoy our meal. There is also Eastbank Restaurant located on the ground floor which is great for a cheaper alternative which serves a lovely pizza or pasta.

The indoor swimming pool is located on the 4th floor which is terrific as it also has a spa attached and two saunas and stream room. The staff were very helpful and cheerful.

Sydney is a treasure chest , holding incredible richness and beauty in the fragments of the harbour and foreshores. The glistening fragments of light filtering over Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House are truely enchanting.

Sydney is a city full of playfulness, entertainment , sophistication, mixed with a lively cosmopolitan casual lifestyle.

I highly recommend this hotel for location and its facilities.

I along with my wife and two sons (aged 16 & 14) stayed at Grand Quay Suites Sydney for five nights (May 11 to May 16,2008). After going through very positive reviews on tripadvisor.com we changed our booking to Grand Quay Suites Sydney.
We checked in early at 8.00am.Our two bedroom apartment was not ready,as a good gesture by the reception staff we were given a one bedroom apartment straight away.
From our apartment we enjoyed the best views of Harbour Bridge.The Sydney Opera House is just a minutes walk and everything(Sydney Ferries,local trains,taxis,buses) available at door step.
The apartment was just like a home away from home with all the facilities and excellent upkeep.
Would like to come back soon and highly recommend to anyone visiting Sydney.
