I stayed in this hotel 10 years ago, and hated it. However, this time I was at a conference in the hotel. I found the hotel remarkably improved. Location is excellent (clearly that hasn't changed), views from Park Rooms were charming (looking over the newly cleaned cathedral spires through large trees). Staff could not have been more helpful. Food in restaurants was delicious. Nice bars to meet friends. And finally - no "stuff-ups". If you stay in hotels all the time, you'll know what I mean. There were no problems with room key cards, reservation was correct, correct room provided, room service excellent and fast, no unauthorised charges on account, no problems with air-conditioning etc.

We stayed for two nights in this hotel for our anniversary. From the minute we arrived out of the taxi until we checked out, the staff were really friendly and willing to help in any way. We arrived at 11am and hadn't requested an early checkin, but they accomodated us with no hassles.

We stayed in a King Hyde Park Room and although the view wasn't as great as we expected, the room made up for it. The room was clean, the marble bathroom is lovely and the bed is super comfortable. We had buffet breakfast included and found this to be a great addition as the food was great. We also really enjoyed the high tea served in the lobby restaurant with a glass of moet!

Although this hotel is on the pricey side, the location and level of service is well worth it. We would definately stay there again.

This is a great sheraton property. It is very centrally located and the rooms are great. The fitout is exceptionally good and the views (over the park) are very nice. The rooms are exceptionally clean and all the common areas are bright clean and well maintained. The hotel is in a great downtown location and are very close to the harbour. The staff are excellent and i could not fault any aspect of our stay. I would also mention that the facilities are (as you would expect) limited because of the downtown location but this did not limit my stay in any way.

Love this place and the staff!
When in Sydney doing business, or taking my family for a well deserved break, we are always treated especially nice.
I have stayed here on many occasion over the years and have always felt like so welcome, my only gripe is they have closed the walkway through to David Jones...not happy...now I have to cart all my shopping back by myself!
To all the staff keep up the good work & love the breakie buffet.
