“Great place in all aspects”

Hotel Josef

Jul 19, 2008

We just returned from our Central Europe adventure having stayed in three countries and 5 hotels. Josef was one of the best! The breakfast (which is included if you book on the internet with anyone but Expedia) was fantastic. The room was clean, well designed (I am an interior designer, so this is important to me) and comfortable. However, the glass bathroom, though way cool takes some getting used to...). The internet room was always available with a lightening fast connection, paper and pen handy and water and fruit available in the impossible event you need a snack after the incredible breakfast. And its FREE. Prague itself is a vibrant and beautiful city which is easily navigated on foot. Enjoy.

“Didn't know we needed it until we found it”

Hotel Josef

Jul 13, 2008

My wife and I did an overnight stay in Prague at the tail end of a week in Vienna. We ran the Vienna marathon the weekend before and by the time we got to Prague were pretty exhausted, although still determined to see the historic old city.

Although the room was small, it was clean and well apportioned, which is something we needed after staying at a budget hotel in old Vienna all week. It also had a fancy rig to control room shading from the outside which was great to take a nap at in the afternoon after the train ride from Vienna. Breakfast in the hotel was great but I can no longer remember if we paid for it separately or if it was included in our accommodation.

We did use their concierge to book a day tour and their taxi service to get back to Prague's main train station. Last but not least, although it wasn't at the center of Old Prague, it was close enough that once we got our bearings we could navigate easily to just about anything we wanted to see.

We'd definitely stay there again.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We would like to point out that our breakfast is always included provided that you make a reservation on our web site. If you book a stay in our hotel through a travel agency the breakfast is usually also included with the exception of Expedia. We look forward seeing you in Hotel Josef.

“Great hotel - just one inconvenience”

Hotel Josef

5 of 5 stars
Manchester
Jun 27, 2008

The Josef is in an excellent location, in the old Jewish quarter, down a quiet side street. It is a modern boutique hotel and everything is high quality about the set up. A fantastic breakfast is served until midday.

The only glitch during our stay was a toilet that refused to flush. I was surprised that no maintenance staff were around on a Friday afternoon to fix it, so we had to move rooms. Not the end of the world, but a bit of a pain.

I have previously stayed at the other end of town and walked past all the central hotels in the tourist district. The Josef was much better situated with many high quality bars and restaurants nearby and it is only a short walk to the old town. Free wifi is included and all the small touches like Aveda shampoo were top notch. I would stay there again.

“Avoid room 801”

Hotel Josef

It is a nice Hotel and well located. Unfortunately room 801 is to close to the elevators engines and you will get lots of noise all the time. Pik room 704. Breakfast is above average. Could be better in terms of cleanliness.

“Great Hotel....excellent Location & Great Breakfast”

Hotel Josef

5 of 5 stars
West Midlands
Jun 23, 2008

This hotel was a great find, in a central location. We walked everwhere from the hotel.

The hotel is very minimalist which i liked it wasn't fussy. The staff checking in and out where very helpful. We also ordered the hotels car to pick us up and drop us back to the airport. This was slightly more expensive then a taxis but worth it.

The room was on the small size but had everything we needed.

The breakfast was excellent. Everything you could think of, this really set us up for the day.

Would defo recommend.
