Like Rocketman77, I couldn't find a starwood hotel that would be open until 2009 so we booked the Radisson SAS Alcron. After spending 600 euros per night and being severly disappointed at the Hyatt Kiev(please read my 1/5 rated review if Trip advisor ever decides to post it), we were apprehensive about what we would receive for less that 300 euros per night.
WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE. HEAVEN. Beautiful, well appointed room and huge in comparison with the Hyatt. An exceptionally huge breakfast buffet that is included in the room rate. Free pay per view and music channels and are you ready for this?????????????Free mini bar with champagne, shots, beer, VOSS water, snacks, etc. The service was exceptional. we had dinner at the ALCRON restaurant on our last night. We were served by two friendly and efficient waiters, the food was exceptional and hearty, the presentation superb.
We really enjoyed the Radisson SAS ALCRON. I travel abroad 4 times a year and this hotel, by far, is number one with regards to value, service, location, the list goes on.
Thank you Radisson SAS Alcron. I plan to go to Paris/London and I will take some cooking classes that you offer at your hotel and of course, I will be staying with your hotel and no other,

My husband and I just returned from the Radisson SAS Alcron in Prague. Prior to the trip I contacted via email the guest relations manager, Alexandra Manisova, to inquire about the weather, amenities, currency, etc., and she was always prompt & professional in answering all my questions. Not only that, but when we finally got to meet her in person she was very personable and sweet.

Radisson also have an excellent breakfast buffet. No matter how long the wait is, it moves quickly and you marvel at the staff's professionalism and attention to detail. Leon in particular was always cheerful and greeted all breakfast diners with a nice smile every morning. We always consulted with the Concierge desk when we planned our trip, whether we went with a group tour or went on our own. Lenka assisted us with the train, bus, & trolley schedule and provided us with maps.

The rooms are plush & comfortable and very clean. As far as location, Radisson is centrally located - it is a block away from the metro, trolley and close to all the sightseeing and shopping districts. I would highly recommend Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very quiet. The decor was of high quality. Food met expectations (however you can choose from many decent restaurants in Prague at better prices). Rooms were clean and well equipped. Location to central Prague reasonable. We had a very relaxing & enjoyable stay.

The outside facade hasn't been renovated but the interior has been completely updated in 2008 and the results are a delightful baroque throughout. The service is great, particularly the consierge. Get the breakfast included with the room, it's worth it.
