This hotel is very clean. The rooms were all redone in 2005 and it's nicer than the pictures on the website. Our room was on the top floor with the windows in the roof - querky and fun. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant but the food isn't very good - who cares when there are so many places to go eat in Prague! And at least there is food just in case. And of course, there's beer, Czech wine, and Becherovka that you can enjoy in the nice library or your room. The location is okay but not great. In the morning it doesn't seem like a long walk at all (1 mi to Castle, 0.5 mi to Charles Bridge), but after a long day of sightseeing, it seems very...far...away. There is a tram stop right there, but who on a 3-day vacation is really going to learn the system? However, the benefit of being away from the rest of the tourists is that you get to see how real people live and work. We would stay again despite being a little out of the way that's how nice it is, but then again, we don't mind walking.
