Just returned from a 5 night stay here. What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful building! The staff throughout the stay were exceptionally friendly and helpful (they even made us a dinner late on Wednesday night when we arrived from the airport-despite the kitchen just closing). The food was gorgeous and the waiter was so friendly and cheerful. All receptionists were great too. Very willing to help us out. Breakfast was also well stocked and a great start to the day. It continues to 11am also which is a welcome change from most hotels for us late risers.
The room itself was quite large (as was the bathroom) and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Pillows were huge too and the air conditioning was great. The only problem we had with the room was that we couldn't open the windows. It's apparently for 'security reasons' but we were on the fifth floor. It seemed a bit excessive. We were in a street facing room, perhaps the atrium facing ones didn't have this problem.
As for the street, its not the best area and there are some seedy shops around the place, but the location is very central (5 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square - the National Museum end) and my boyfriend and I never once felt threatened or uncomfortable walking to or from the hotel in the evenings.
The Airport transfers to and from the hotel were also very easy and affordable.
Overall a fantastic hotel with excellent staff. I would reommend it to anyone travelling to this beautiful city.
