“Good location, but you might do better”

We spent 4 nights at the hotel. The room was very nice and a good size, with 2 TVs and a fridge which we found very useful. The things we found a bit disappointing were that the concierge never seemed to be about when you needed assistance, and the advice given at reception proved inaccurate on several occasions which almost made us make some very poor decisions in our planning. The manager's drinks in the evening were very welcome, if limited in the choice of "nibbles". The arrangements for the buffet breakfast were rather hectic. There never seemed to be a good time to get there, and finding a table could be tricky. It was always very busy. The layout means loads of people queuing or milling about all the time, and some of the queues were, at times, rather long. And my final concern was, I am sure, not a regular occurrance, but we arrived back at the hotel mid-afternoon to find our door and the door of the room next to ours open, with no cleaning or maintenance staff anywhere near. Indeed no-one came to the room in the 1/2 hour I waited. I never did get an explanation as to why they had left our room open for anyone to walk in.

“Great vacation”

My family and I stayed at the Embassy Suites DC over 4th of July weekend and had a great time. I used Hilton points to book the stay, requesting the two bedroom presidential suite, and actually got it. The room was huge! Two full bedrooms and two baths, living room, dining room. Way more than we needed but the kids loved it. Flat panel TV's in each bedroom and the living room.

The service was very good. The staff always helpful. There was a water leak over the bar area that was fixed in a flash. I guess the only complaint would be the air conditioner was quite noisy so I guess if you were a light sleeper you might have problems.

As with all Embassy's, full breakfast is included. Being the 4th of July weekend, it was pretty crowded each morning but the food was fine and we were always able to find a table. It saves a lot to be able to eat a free big breakfast each day.

The location of the hotel is great. It's a quiet area close to DuPont Circle. There are many restaurants within a 10 minute walk. The Foggy Bottom metro station is a 10 minute walk away which will get you anywhere. We walked into Georgetown one day with no complaints from the kids.

I would definitely stay here again.

“Perfect place for families!”

What a nice hotel! Room was perfect, clean and roomy. The breakfast and happy hour food was very generous! The only negative, to this hotel is that it is a bit of a walk to the Metro, but we would definately stay there again!

“Great Family stay in embassy suite in Washington DC”

We spent 3 nights at the Embassy suite in Washington in a one bedroom suite. The hotel was just perfect. Rooms were very clean. Very good welcome. Great breakfast buffet. A very enjoyable happy hour drink time. Great location close to all the sights to visit.
Do not hesitate to go with a family.
