We stayed at the Staybridge Suites with our two boys aged 6 and 8 for 6 nights for Disney visit. I cottoned onto them as I had stayed at other Staybridge Suites when travelling for business and thought it would be great for kids.
We arrived late and were greeted by a friendly receptionist. Once in the room my first impression was that it was small (it was a one bedroom suite). My priority was to check email as I run my own business in Australia. I plugged in and it didnt work. Went down to reception for replacement cable and was told they were all out and maybe tomorrow someone would checkout and return a Cat5 cable. I opted for business centre and got my emails there - no drama. A little more concern or care would have been nice.
Breakfast was ordinary. Got Internet sorted the next morning.
Light touch room servicing was fine. Just what was needed.
Pool area was great!!. Spa broke down on second day (it wasn't me!) but no big deal.
Manager reception was a joke. It only operates 3 nts per week so we had one chance during our 6 nt stay, That night they had cheese and crackers and beer and wine - along with a lady we dubbed "beer nazi" who refused me to take a beer or wine to my wife pool side who was watching the kids. "Only one drink per person sir". That was after being asked to show my room key to ID myself.
We met some lovely people there and the staff were generally friendly, the beds comfortable and the sleep good. So all in all it was good.
We drove to Disney first day but with parking $12 we opted for shulltle after that.
All in all fond memories.
