We had stayed at a Staybridge Suites in Rancho Bernardo last year and liked the hotel and its many amenities. When our 11-year old granddaughter made her first solo trip this year, we decided to book a two-bedroom suite at the Anaheim resort for a week. We toured Disneyland, California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Soak City, Hollywood, and Catalina, and the hotel was close to everything.

We were favorably impressed with nearly all aspects of the hotel. The suite had a living area, kitchen (with dish washer and detergent!), two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and three televisions. The beds were very comfortable. There were many free services, including a good breakfast buffet (with different breads, cereals, make your own waffles, fruit, eggs, and either bacon or sausage), a hot dog and hamburger barbeque with wine on Wednesday, and a manager's happy hour on Tuesday and Thursday. There also was a free laundramat, internet service, and parking. We were there over Memorial Day weekend, and the hotel must have been sold out, with lots of families and kids. However, our room was quiet, the breakfast buffet was quickly replinished, and the pool large enough to accommodate everyone (although it ran out of towels by the end of the day). The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the minimal housekeeping which included emptying trash and replacing towels but not making the bed or cleaning the bathroom. The hotel charges a very reasonable rate ($199/night), which may explain the level of service.

There also was a transit bus to Disneyland ($3/person/day) that picked up passengers at the hotel right next door and only made a few stops (route 12). It ran every 20-30 minutes and stopped close to the Disneyland entrance. This was very convenient and saved money on parking.

We booked a 5 day "whirlwind" trip to the Anaheim area about a week ago through Funjet. It was the first really big trip we had taken as a family (myself, my husband, and his 3 kids, ages 15, 14, and 10), so price and value were major considerations. I love Disneyland, and was aware that the attractions portion of our trip would be monetarily epic, so we sought a hotel that wouldn't completely break the bank.

I was apprehensive at first, due to some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor about the Staybridge, but it turns out I shouldn't have been! This was an extremely decent place. The rooms were large, clean, and attractive. The suite that we booked had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which was an absolute must for traveling with 3 kids. It also had a full kitchen, so we didn't have to buy and eat out for every single meal. The beds were comfortable, and each room had a TV so we weren't fighting over who watched what. It was quiet, the staff was friendly in spite of some of the people they were dealing with, and here's the lifesaver: Free breakfast. Not just a continental breakfast, either. With two teen aged boys, we easily saved $50 a day by having a big, yummy breakfast each morning. Another nice perk: Free beer! Yes, that's right, they have a free happy hour (I don't think it's every night, but it was at least 3 of the 4 nights of our stay) with beer and wine.

The clientele were mostly people just like us... families on a budget trying to get the most out of their Disney stay. This is by no means a luxury resort, but for what it was, it was perfect. I would definitely stay here again, if we ever take the kids back to Disney.

We couldn't have been happier! 6 of us stayed in a suite which included a full kitchen (with dishwasher, microwave, full sized fridge, and stove top). The large secluded grounds and garden for kids to play outside off of the street front also includes a basketball court where my kids met many new friends. The pool area is clean and close, and 24hr free laundry service was incredibly useful when we were coming in late from trips to Disney and shows in the area. Some reviews complained about the fact that the transit system and restaurant are next door, but it's really just across the parking lot and very convenient. The free breakfast was phenomenal with lots of fresh fruits, hot choices, and something for everyone. We appreciated the "light touch" cleaning service, as we're used to tidying up after ourselves anyway and it's much less intrusive than a full clean everyday and allowed our schedule to be more flexible. The beds are made, towels replaced and garbages emptied - which is definitely more than I'd get at home. I asked my husband and each of the kids if they would prefer to come back here next time, or stay somewhere closer to the park and they all said "Staybridge again!" Enough said.

We have stayed there for "mom & Kids disney fun" trip. I took my 5-yr-old daughter and my friend took her 6-yr-old daughter and 10-months-old boy. We stayed in their 2-bedroom suite, and loved it. Our children loved it, too. They visited each other's bedrooms, tried to make it like a sleep over, took eachother's care as if they were living together. It was PERFECT!! It comes with nice kitchen/dining area and small living room space. They even provide the direct line phone number so that our husbands could call us without going through the front desk.

Stayed there for 4 nights. Absolutely loved it. Will stay there again!
