This is your typical Staybridge Suite - generous well equipped accommodation. The pool area (which is shared with the next door Holiday Inn - which was never a problem) was very nice with a good hot tub and pool bar, Tea and coffee is available free all day in the hotel.
The American Brasserie next door was a good place to unwind - we ate there once and had a drink or two most nights before wandering to find a restaurant.
The breakfast is fine - not our sort of thing - it's a real bun fight with people jostling each other to get at the food. As a result it can be a mess with kids dropping food and syrup all over the hotel as they take stuff back upstairs. This isn't the hotels fault - it's the guests. Some people were stripping the breakfast to take food and drinks out for the day - I literally saw someone empty the all fresh fruit into their bags.
The Managers evening reception is beer/wine and a few snacks except on one night which is a BBQ which was very popular.
I must say that we've stayed in hotels all over Europe and the USA and the housekeeping staff seemed to be the most miserable we have ever com across. Even if you said good morning they would ignore you...and if you got in the elavator with them......well!
Garden Walk (about a 10 in walk) is a new modern plaza with a good selection of restaurants, a movie theatre and some shops. Also within walking distance (we did it!) is the Angel Stadium if you want to catch a baseball game.
We didn't do any Disney so I can't comment on that.
Would we stay in Anaheim again - no - if you are not doing Disney it's too touristy and frantic (and the I-5 is a nightmare to get anywhere else). However Staybridge stay on our list of recommended accommodations.
