“Good value with a short drive to Disneyland”

Hotel Pepper Tree

Jul 29, 2008

Overall, a great experience. While not really close to Disneyland, it was only about a 10 minute drive max. Do make sure you get directions BACK TO the hotel - we managed to get lost around Disneyland. The room was very large, with a kitchenette and separate dressing/bath area. Nice little patio outside. Only complaint was some very loud people above us; I believe they may have been elephants given the sound they made moving around. The desk did call them after I complained and it got somewhat better. The price was right, the room was clean, and the staff helpful and friendly. The pool looked nice (we did not use it). I did not see a jacuzzi out there but that's a nit.

“Easy Drive to Disneyland - Good Value for the Money”

Hotel Pepper Tree

3 of 5 stars
Mesa, AZ
Jul 28, 2008

A few miles down Lincoln then a right turn and a couple more miles and you are right in the Disneyland parking garage. We spent 2 nights at Hotel Pepper Tree--somewhat apprehensive due to some negative reviews, but for the money, it was better than I expected. Buffet continental breakfast is served at the Mexican restaurant across the parking lot and that was perfectly adequate except for the 2nd morning when it was packed and the lone waitress was having trouble keeping the coffee urns filled, etc. Pool looked clean and the rooms were clean if somewhat worn. The king bed sagged a bit in the middle but after a day chasing Mickey Mouse, I was too tired to be picky! Bathroom was very clean and nice amount of towels but shower head was low even for my 5'2" self and not as strong a water flow as I would like. I wish there had been screens on the sliding patio door as I would have preferred to have the door open to hear the soothing fountain on our little enclosed patio, but being bug-phobic I didn't want to chance having anything crawl into the room during the night and kept the glass door closed.

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — Value for the money and proximity to Disneyland without being in the midst of the Disney chaos.
    • Disliked — No screen on patio door, shower head weak flow

“Aussie winner”

Hotel Pepper Tree

Jul 23, 2008

An Aussie winner – As Aussies ourselves we may be biased, but this Aussie owned hotel really comes thru. We just got back from 2 weeks in California. We were traveling with our 3 children ages 6 – 12 and normally found it difficult to get adequately sized rooms, but at hotel Pepper Tree we were really comfortable. The rooms are really big with sitting area and a big balcony where we could enjoy an evening drink and watch the kids in a very nice (heated) pool below. Supermarket over the road, big refrigerator and lots of robe area, AND A DRESSING ROOM off the bathroom. Really great. Don’t miss this one.

Great location. Rooms are big and clean. Nice - but small - pool area. The pool temp was perfect! Staff was very friendly, helpful, and available!

“Great Hotel”

Hotel Pepper Tree

Jul 5, 2008

We stayed at the Hotel Peppertree for 2 weeks and loved it, the staff are exceptional no matter what you are looking for weather it be directions to local attractions, extra towels or even printing boarding passes(Thank you Becky, you were a delight todeal with) The hotel is very clean and close to Disneyland and Knott's. The free breakfast we had only once and that was enough for our liking but what do you expect for free. We will definatly be back to California and will stay at this hotel again without hesitation.
