My Girlfriend and I stayed at the Aspen suites twice during our stay in Thailand. The taxi driver had no problem getting there from the airport. The hotel is relatively new and presented very well. On our second stay we were updated to a larger room at no extra cost. The room was very clean and we didn't have any problems. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The airconditioning worked very well in our room and we had to switch it off some nights.

It is about a 500m walk to Sukhumvit road, but in hot weather it seems like much more. Use the free tuk tuk service to get a ride there and then you can walk to the skytrain station.

The breakfast was included in our stay and consisted on the main tourist type stuff (eggs, bacon, toast, etc.) The Restaurant served good meals at reasonable prices but the atmosphere was rather stale.

The pool was welcome relief after a hot day of sight seeing or shopping. It is not very big but serves its purpose. Overall we had a very nice stay at the Aspen Suites and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at Aspen Suites on our way back from Phuket. Recommended by someone on Flyertalk.com, and knowing that the hotel was new, I was hesitant but curious by the price. I was pleasently surprised! The hotel offers a free tuk-tuk ride to the Sky Train, free breakfast, and large clean rooms.
The first night we were there, we had a killer storm. Lightning and thunder..The windows were double-paned, so the noise was minimal. Actually, the whole hotel was quiet.
Free internet on computers in the lobby!
The restaurant had decent food but the atmosphere is a bit sterile..Caeteria-like. Room service food was a bit cold.
I had a hard time keeping water in the shower but my friend pointed out to me that most Thai bathrooms have a drain in the floor so I didn't feel so bad.
The entertainment system includes DVD. Nice touch.
Nice lap pool, work-out room etc.
Overall ..Great Value.

My wife and I stayed at the Aspen from 15 May to 20 May. Arrived Bangkok in the evening and on approaching the hotel, we found that the street leading to the hotel was a bit creepy. However, after the first night, we found out that it wasn't so bad after all. The hotel is value for money as upon checked in, we were being upgraded from a standard room to a deluxe room, which was bit more spacious as were told by the friendly receptionist. The room itself was spacious, tastefully decorated and everything is new. However, apart from thehard pillows (however the problem was being rectified upon our request to put in soft pillows the next day). The only setback, my wife and i found was the air vent of the air-con was blowing directly at the bed which we have to shift the bed to avoid the cold air at night.

As for the food, we think that the breakfast spread could be improved by providing bit more varieties. We had the same selection everyday for 5 days!!

In terms of the location, the hotel is quite centrally located, approx 10 min walk to the Skytrain-Phloen Chit Station.

Overall, we were quite statisfied with the hotel, friendly staffs, attentive service. The only improvement is maybe on the free shuttle service to the station, it would be good if they could extend the service till about 9pm for the convinience of the guests.
