I booked two nights in one of their Platinum suites but had to change my dates twice. English on the phone was a bit hard but my dates were changed fine. Staff was incredibly courteous and friendly, as expected from most good Asian hotels. I was upgraded to a Penthouse suite, and at that rate, it's incredible value. The suite was great, super clean and well kept daily. Location is very good, in the heart of the sukomvit. This hotel blows the well-known brands away in terms of quality/price and I strongly recommend getting their suites.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the President Solitaire. The staff were very friendly and attentive and treated us like royalty - running to open doors, pressing for the lift etc. The room was very spacious with all you need and a fantastic bathroom. Didn't mind the bit of a walk to the sky train which would have been easier to navigate had there not been stalls everywhere blocking the pavement. All part of the experience of Bangkok. Would definitely stay here again if I return and would recommend this hotel to others.

Excellent hotel - huge clean rooms, very comfortable bed, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast!

Area is ...interesting - lots of Western men with Thai 'brides' I'm afraid, but you can turn a blind eye to all that. Close to Skytrain station which is a plus.

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved the experience. The thing we appreciated most was the hospitable and friendly service of the staff, who were just too happy to help you out in whatever it was! As our flight landed in BKK very early in the morning, we needed an early check-in. When we reached the hotel at about 7.30am, they had a room ready for us in 20 mins! The concierge deserves a special mention. One night we were a little lost on our way to Bed Supperclub (5 mins. walking distance); the guy at the concierge noticed this and escorted us to the premises, all too happily.
We weren't very impressed with the Lobby, but the rooms are large and very comfortable. We even had a jacuzzi in our bathroom!
While the breakfast spread isn't great, it is sufficient.
All in all, we would definitely recommed President Solitaire.
