Wow - I had a very pleasant stay of 7 nights at Adelphi Suites on Sukhumvit soi 8 in Bkk!

On the sunny side:
- very friendly personnel, very helpful
- clean, modern, large, well-furnished rooms with big TV, DVD/CD player, small kitchen, etc.
- nice clean bathroom
- there is a pool, although small, it is good for refreshment
- gym
- breakfast included, the breakfast is more than adequate. The choice is not as huge as at those giant hotel buffets, but everything one could wish for is provided: eggs scrambled, fired or cooked, toasts, butter, jelly, joghurt, fruits, juices, cereals, etc.
- guest friendly: it is possible to bring guests to your room, the front desk will keep for you their ID(s) - one or several :-)
- very close to nana skytrain station
- very close to the Sukhumvit nightlife (Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy is not far away either)
- free internet access everywhere: there is wireless access throughout the hotel and the lobby. In the room the signal can be weaker, but in each room is also a CAT5 ethernet connection (bring your own patch cable or buy one there). The front desk will provide you with login data.

The negatives / possible improvements:
Adelphi Suites gets best marks from me in everything, but as a nitpicker, I can always find some details I am not happy with. Please understand the following points as minor potential improvements:
- The Aircon in my room (#503) was noisy, far from what I had in other hotels where it was barely audible. It was really annoying in the first night, but then I got used to it and it didn't bother me anymore.
- The bathroom often got smelly. This is not unusual in Bangkok, where one is often confronted with stenches of different origin, but it seems the drains are not equipped with inverted syphon traps, so that bad odors can occur.
- Mold: I rate the bathroom as being overall very clean. In some corners, black mold is beginning to set in. Note to the manager: this can be easily fixed by regularly (every moths or so) spraying some 2.5% concentration chlorine on these spots. The mold will lose its black color and will not be able to reestablish itself there for a long time.
- Again the bathroom: the door of the shower is not closing properly

I was very happy to stay at Adelphi Suites, I would like to thank the Management and the Personnel for the nice experience. I am dying to come back to BKK and Adelphi Suites.

This hotel is surely one of the best places to stay in Bangkok for the price. The rooms are more than adequate, with their own kitchen area and sitting area. The beds are as other reviews stated one of the most comfortable around and the bathroom and shower were top class.

The staff at the font desk were very pleasant and helpful and were obviously well trained. The free internet access for guests was a real bonus as many other hotels charge for that service. The hotel restraint was also very nice and well managed with helpful staff.

The location was perfect as it was less than 5 minute walk from NANA BTS which can take you to many of the best shopping areas that Bangkok has to offer.

I also stayed at another hotel run by the same company that runs the Adelphi Suites, called Grand President for the last few days of my trip and I have to say that it didn’t compare to the Adelphi in any way.

If you are planning a trip to central Bangkok for any length of time, my advice would be to forget about the rest and stay at the Adelphi. The reviews tell the whole story.

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment for 4 nights, had a wonderful view from our room, full length windows. Very clean and well serviced. All staff very happy and helpful. Buffet breakfast a fantastic start to the day, plenty of variety. Ate at Restaurant there, Rojo's very nice not expensive. So handy to Nana Sky train. Loved the little street located in Soi 8, very quiet location considering Sukhumivit Rd not far. Loved it all highly recommend, rates great value. Swimming pool had a great view too and very refreshing.

What a pleasant surprise! Stayed for just 2 nights but wish it had been longer.

Ideally placed for Nana BTS station and Sukhumvit Road shopping. The hotel was along a small quiet road just off the main street. Bedroom was huge and I had a separate living area with 32 inch LCD TVs in both along with a CD player, separate shower and bath, fridge, washing machine!

Breakfast was great and the Thai food I had on the terrace for dinner was delicious. I will definitely stay there again.
