I returned this time with my husband and youngest daughter, after really enjoying our trip last year with my other daughter, some friends and my son. The food was great, we enjoyed the Aussie hospitality as well as the fantastic Thai hospitality. My son had commented last year that he went out to Phi Phi Island and that Capt Mark's trip was just so much better. We enjoyed the personalised service and think he does a great job, We had a great time and hope his business continues to flourish as he is doing a fanatastic job.

“A Must Do”

This was our second trip with Captain Mark. Phuket is full of things to do. There is the Patong nightlife, the island tours, the wonderful places to eat and shop and then there is Phuket Sail Tours. To go to the places that Thais have been going to for hundreds of years and experience the trip that Mark provides is a "Must Do"!

You will be fed, watered and entertained and never forget the wonderful time you will have.
Into the dingy and onto the boat, Out of the dingy onto the beach and into the caves is not as hard as it sounds. You will be well looked after by the crew of the Sakai.

Thank you Mark.

We sailed with Capt Mark on the 30th june this year and had an absolutely wonderful time. We were a family of 4 and were joined by another family of 4 from Hongkong, the day lacked wind so we needed to motor out but was able to sail most of the way back. The were 2 crew on board who helped out and cooked a superb lunch that we had on a quiet beach. Capt Mark showed us some great spots and was full of interesting observations about Thailand, things I had been keen to know but had no one to ask. The day was total relaxation, my teenage daughter and her friend spent most of the time asleep sunbaking at the front of the boat, they loved it. I usually suffer from sea sickness and took a couple of Quells before hand and had no problems at all. I organised the tour about 3 months prior to us going, Mark was great with email correspondence and confirmation etc. I would definately go out again with Mark if we ever visit Phulet again. Thanks Mark for a great day, I really felt like I was on holidays. Regards Jude, Bjorn, Hannah and Chelsea.

I would like to say that I like to research things before I do them and I am glad I did my research and went with Captain Mark and his Phuket Sail Tours. I booked it from home at least three weeks prior as I was afraid I wouldn't be able to at the last minute on arriving in Phuket. My sister and her husband, and my husband and I were picked up at our hotel by Captain Mark and taken to the area where his sailboat the"Sakai" is. At first I saw a little dingy and wondered where the sailboat was, then saw my sister and her husband, get in and go out to meet the "Sakai" a little further out from the dock. We too went out to it and met a young man named Phil from Scotland who lives in Toronto and manages or owns a bar there. He was traveling alone so we were lucky that there were only the five of us and the crew, another three(Captain Mark, and the cook and the other Captain) As soon as we set sail, or rather motored out, we were given fruit and then fried chicken wings. They were delicious. My brother who is rather very fond of rambutin, one of the unusual sweet fruits to be found in Asia, was excited to eat them. Since I was the one who had booked the sail with Mark, I felt somewhat responsible for their having enjoyed themselves that day. Fortunately for me I didn't have to worry. Mark really showed us a wonderful time seeing the beautiful hongs, the bat caves,(one almost fell on me though) . Also, the mangroves in this one hong, he mentioned not to step on any little roots coming out of the ground or it could keep them from sprouting more trees. The mangroves were very unusual to see. The small little crabs were quite entertaining as well as the monkeys we were able to see far away on the side of a hong, with binoculars. The lunch we had on the beach made by the cook was very good using yellow curry and shrimp (caught by the local fisherman that pulled up on the side of the Sakai)and fresh vegetables. The day was very relaxing with the fresh air that I didn't really mind too much that the sail didn't go up until the end of the trip due to not enough wind knots. I would highly recommend Captain Mark to anyone wanting an adventurous, informative trip with a smaller group, although we were lucky with only five. I don't know if I would have liked it with more than two more. I probably would have felt a little crowded and claustrophobic with too many on board. The three crew and us five were just perfect! Thanks Captain Mark for making our trip to Phanang Bay perfect in every way! P.S. Mark, if you have Phil's email address, I would sure love to get a few pictures you took with his camera of the cute little trick you pulled on him. I must have that for my album!

I sailed with Captain Mark on 20 June 2008. I was a solo traveller that sailed with three other families for the day. It was probably the most fun I had in Tahiland. It was a relaxing and comfortable day at sea. The islands were fantastic and Captain Mark was very happy to show us all the hidden areas and got us up close and personal with the island. The food was great and he made sure everyone had enough to eat and drink on the trip. I can't wait to go back to Phuket and I will definately go to sea again with Captain Mark.
