I walked in the guy gave me a quote for two days. My wife and I are not to pickey. It was the cheapest around after getting quote from 7 other hotels that evening. We accepted. I brought my wife inside.The night time guy ran my credit card. He gave it to me to sign. He charged me 50 dollars more that he quoted me. (He even wrote the quote on a peice of paper that he gave me.) I questioned him. He said it was 14 percent tax. My credit card was already ran and I did not trust him to be able to walk out and get reimbersted my money. It was late and we wanted to get some sleep.

The rooms were gross. I wore socks so that my feet would not touch the floor. The older day time employe was nice. The pizza delivery was fast & Great!

The night I stayed over I saw the roaches leaving with their bags packed. They were probably leaving for something a little more up-scale than this joint!

Do not waste your time. I made reservations to stay at the Flamingo over a month before we were going there. I even called a couple days before our trip to confirm the reservation. When we arrived they had "lost" all records of my reservation (including my credit card information which i had given to reserve the room) and we were stranded in AC! Finally they said they could give us a room, for THREE TIMES what i reserved it for! The best part was that there was another family in the lobby who was going through the same horrific experience, apparently this is common practice there!

The Flamingo opened in the 1950s, and somehow stayed in business since then. It is no five star Hotel, just a simple family owned Jersey Shore hotel. Common balconies, small room, small bathroom, twin beds. Cleam, albiet a little run down. In close priximity to the beach, boardwalk, Stone Pony and Paradise, as well as numerous other clubs.
You might not want to stay in Asbury Park, maybe in Ocean Grove.
Not a good spot for a vacation, but if your in town to see a show, it should do. Room had TV and air conditioning unit too. There is no pool, but that was okay, but that is okay, because at least we had a bath!
