“Definitely some issues, but not bad for price...”

We chose this hotel because the price was right for a hotel right on the boardwalk. We had small children with us so we didn't care about the lack of a casino. The elevators are definitely an issue. There are not nearly enough and you could wait a lifetime for an one. Our room was a good size, was clean, and had an unbelievable view of the ocean. The room had out-dated decor, but the view made you forget about it. The hotel has an almost undetectable entrance on the boardwalk which is convenient. Another oddity that was cause for alarm was that the trash from the rooms was stored in a closet in the hallway that smelled absolutely disgusting everytime we walked by. There were some additional charges as well, like for parking. Overall, it worked out well for us because we were only staying for one night.

My husband and I stayed here once before getting married - we've celebrated our 1st and 2nd wedding anniversaries by going to AC...and staying at Atlantic Palace Suites. We have never ever had an issue with rude staff, dirty rooms...or even the elevators! Ok, we usually travel in the off season, but nothing has been "left"in our towels, never saw any weird lookin' folk hanging around, never an issue with parking. I'm sure these things do happen to people, and I understand that things are crazier in the summertime...but the place is still pretty full in the winter/spring - never had one issue. My best friend took my advice and she is going with her husband to APS for their anniversary this week... I'm jealous that they get to stay there! I miss AC - haven't been there in almost a year - but I like the fact that it's not TOO far for my husband and I to travel to. We'll be back in February for anniversary #3...and staying at Atlantic Palace Suites, of course!

My wife and I stayed at the resort the first weekend in September. I was very impressed by the view from their suites. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I found the staff to be very friendly and informative about the area. Each day of my stay, I was able to take a nice walk on the boardwalk, which is located in front of the property. This is one of the best resorts in town. Highly recommended.

Booked two rooms fortunatly for just one night on the 4th of august.
It is true that the view is breathtaking and the location is good to, just on the boardwalk. BUT:
Tired rooms wich would have been ok if they were clean but that was not the case, used, dirty plastic bags under the bed along with dust and a beer can. Very dirty bathtubs (grease and hair).
That was not acceptable for the price we paid ( 240 dollars per room per night!!!)
I informed the reception and got a sorry, thats it.
Will definitly not return.

I had booked this hotel as a last minute place to go with the kids(First time I didnt' know where we were going and I was wishy washy, wasn't going away because we spent a ton on a deck with the plastic wood$$L

BOttom line.

Pros: Room was fantastic, room was spotless clean.
Loved the fact you had a separate bedroom(1 bdr. suite)
and the living room nice . Small kitchen basically for
microwaving and frig came in handy. Love the fact that
the icemaker was making ice constantly, didn't have to jump floor just to get ice. Loved the fact that with kids (9 and 70 asthma...
no smoking......if you are a non smoker.

The only reason I liked it more is because I ended up switching from the 29th floor to the ninth.

Cons; Phone didn't work, only on speaker mode. Tried to call husband when I was out, no one ever answered.

I'm just warning everyone (like I was warned!)

Before I checked in, asked three employees about the complaints about the elevator. Each one lied to my face(I found out later)

You end up stopping during certain time of the day 9am-12, 3-7p.m. Waiting endlessly for elevators. People were furious, and they couldn't walk 29 floors to go down. I would say half the time, we ended up walking down the 9 floors, after waiting 20 mins. and four full elevators.

The thing that irked me the most was....at least all day, there would be another 7 or more floors of stopping with the help.
It was unbelievable that there isn't a separate elevator for them.
YOu couldn't even fit when they were bringing luggage in and out. I felt sorry for them.

Other con: Garage has NO elevator..just tons of stairs to get between floors. IT's first come first serve, so better get everything out of the car when you leave it there and don't drive anywhere.

OKay.....My husband loved the room, the view....and cleanliness.
He said he would come back in a heartbeat(LOL) because the elevator being the only problem Did not outweigh the extra room, view...e.tc.

IT's not a place to have a home cooked meal, but we had cereal, popcorn, sandwiches, etc......

My husband liked the fact that you couldn't enter without a key from the boardwalk.
