The MGM Signature is great. It wasn't perfect because nothing is perfect. You will alway's be able to find something wrong if you are looking for it. But, I would recommend the Signature to anyone. I booked through www.VRBO.com website, which allows you to book the room from the owner, instead of the Hotel. This is a much cheaper route and you know exactly what room your are going to be staying in. The check-in (Monday) was a breeze, but I did notice through the week that the check-in line got longer as the week went on and it also depended on when you were checking in (avoid mid day timeframe). The room was great. It was not 5-star, but it had very nice amenities and it was big. The hotel has its own pools (3), which was great because the MGM pools were very, very, very crowded. They also provided ice water and also brought bottled water around. The best thing about the MGM Signature was that it gave you a place to get away from the people. Vegas is a very crowded place and the Signature allowed to get away from all that. If you want action/people 24/7, I would not recommend staying at the Signature. The staff were very helpful. I called the front desk for a couple of things and they brought it up in minutes. There were never lines to get a taxi and the Signature is very close to the airport. The few of strip is good, but not as good as being on the strip. We stayed for 6 days (Monday - Sunday) and if I were to go back, I would not stay anywhere else.

“Fabulous room, room service really not good enough and resort fee is a joke...”

Signature at MGM Grand

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, based on the reviews on this site. Unfortunately it really didn't measure up in terms of service provided.

Pro's:
1. It is really nice to be away from the Strip, it's in a very quiet area, but only takes about 10 mins to walk from the MGM Grand to the hotel.
2. The room was HUGE, had a little lounge area, kitchen, massive bathroom (with whirlpool) and a balcony overlooking the pool

Con's:
1. Real issues with the card keys, sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't. Couldn't use mine to get into the pool - had to ask another guest to let me in.
2. Room service is really inadequate: We arrived at 3pm on a Friday and decided to have a good night out, so we didn't get to bed until gone 4am. We'd put the 'Don't Disturb' sign up as we wanted to sleep in. At 4pm Housekeeping called to ask if we wanted the room to be serviced, we said yes and that we'd be leaving the room within the hour and if they could do the room then, that would be great. Five hours later we returned and the room hadn't been done. We contacted Housekeeping and they said the the 'Don't Disturb' sign was still up (it wasn't). We weren't happy with the attitude of the staff with this issue and the room was serviced the next day, but after paying $200 a night, I expect much better room and staff service than that.
3. You pay $15 a day 'resort fee' which includes papers, internet and two very small (330 ml) bottles of water a day. You only got the water if your room was serviced and as mine was not...
4. a random issue, but when you use the entrance from the MGM Grand to the walkway to the hotel, you have to use your key card (which is reasonable). However the gap between the key-card slot and the door is quite substantial and the amount time you have to open the door is quite short, you don't always succeed in getting through the door.
5. The front doors on the hotel (where you check in) do not open automatically and the staff are not always aware that someone is struggling with suitcases through these ridiculously heavy doors.

I plan on returning to Las Vegas (which is amazing) but I certainly will not be staying here based purely on the attitude of the room service staff and the $15 resort fee which I didn't feel gave you very much. I should also point out that I'm quite happy in hotels and rarely complain, but I was greatly disappointed with this hotel.

“The Signature was nice but not great”

My husband and I just got back from staying at the MGM signature. We booked the one bedroom suite. The room had plenty of space. The bed was super comfy and the extra bathroom and jacuzzi tub were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is true that walking to the main Mgm is quite a journey but nothing to really complain over. I went to Christophe Salon for a makeover for 75 bucks and I came out looking like a movie-star!! The maid service was very good. Overall it was a great stay. I have a few concerns: For one, this is supposed to be upscale, however, the carpet in the living room and bedroom were visably dirty. The furniture was also showing a lot of wear and seemed to be in need of cleaning as well. The chaise in the bedroom was a little warn and was missing a button. I dont mean to be picky. Overall it was a good stay. If the things I mention dont matter to you then I would say you will be impressed. It's just the lack of attention to detail that I am a little suprised about. My husband I have been coming to las vegas for the last 14 years. Our goal is to stay at a nicer hotel everytime we go. The last hotel before this one was Venetian. The signature was a step backwards. I would not discourage someone from staying there. However I would not stay there again unless it is really, really a cheap deal.

“The Best Hotel in Vegas”

I have stayed at most of the hotels in Las Vegas and I can tell you that the Signature has been far and away my favortie place to stay. After staying there in August, I have already booked four mroe trips to the hotel over the course of the next three months. The service is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The valet service is prompt and courteous. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The tub alone is worth staying there for.... jacuzzi tub with jets. How great is that?

Overall, it's the place to stay in Vegas if you want to enjoy yourself and feel pampered and happy.

“Signature at MGM Grand – the best rooms ever!”

That is an excellent hotel with superb service and VERY comfortable rooms, great décor, Jacuzzi and King-Size bed. That is an ultimate destination, if you would like to relax and to have rest, while in Las Vegas. Although, if your goal to stay out of hotel as much as possible, it might be an overkill. This hotel has 3 towers from which Tower One is the closest to MGM Grand and Tower Three is at the far North Eastern Corner of the complex. I would definitely come back, but only is case I would get a reservation in Tower One only. Walk time from Tower Three to The Strip and MGM Grand thru the designated walkways would take 15 minutes each direction, which is quite long and waist your time and energy. All of the restaurants, clubs and Monorail Station are at MGM Grand, so you would have to do this way quite a few times during the day.
Also, you should know that you would be charged $15 /night plus tax extra at the end of your stay for the “supplemental” internet access, bottled water, newspapers and coffee in the room even if you don’t want/use it! The convenience of the geographical location is not the best on the strip, but quite good. In the bottom line, if you intend to have some quality time and relax at the hotel and not only to run on the streets and visit casinos and shows, Signature at MGM Grand definitely would be a great choice for you.
