The room was gorgeous, the service impeccable, access to the Strip was easy. We were ecstatic upon arrival. However, WE COULD NOT SLEEP because of music invading our room ALL NIGHT. Next day we figure out that the hotel blasts music from the pool area all night. No joke. No idea why they would do that, but it sucked. We have raved to all of our friends about the hotel, but let them know if they want to get any sleep don't bother staying here. The checkout line was so long we could not even let the hotel staff know how angry (and tired) we were.

“LOVE ... the Signature”

Signature at MGM Grand

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during memorial weekend for our birthdays/anniversary. No lines, no crowds… in Vegas this is heaven. Check-in staff was very pleasant and we went up to our room. Large rooms by Vegas standards, however our room (with a balcony) overlooked the construction across the street. I wasn’t happy with the view, so I went to see if we could exchange for a room on the other side of the building. I was told this was not a problem and was assigned a new room. On entering the new room the first thing I notice is no balcony. I felt as if I had been down-graded. The view wasn’t spectacular (tower 2 and the airport, mountains), but I felt that I should have been given a room with a balcony or at least told they didn’t have a room with a balcony available at the time of the switch. However, it would have been nice to be able to step out onto the balcony and enjoy it! FYI – they only have Jr. Suites, 1-bedrroom and 2-bedroom suites. I don’t know why people post that they got “upgraded” to a Jr. Suite when that’s what they start with……

The walk from tower 3 isn’t that bad, about 10 min and that can vary depending on how fast you book through it or if you leisurely stroll. It’s all enclosed, so even in the hottest weather, you are kept cool!! With all the other walking that you do… it’s really minimal.

They knew it was our anniversary and they brought up a plate of chocolates and a card, nice touch. I also wanted a deck of cards, so I called down to concierge to see if the gift shop had any before I made the trek. The concierge said she thought they may have some in their stock and she (personally) would be up in 30 min with a deck for us. It took less than 15 min and there she was with a deck of cards! Perfect!

Our dining experience was great! We ate at Shibuya and SeaBlue. If you get the chance to have the chef’s tasting menu (13 courses at Shibuya) DO IT!! Totally fantastic!!

We had not printed our boarding passes to leave so the night before I called the concierge to see if we could use the business center to check-in and print our passes, I was told that they would be happy to do that for us. Fantastic!! They would be waiting for us when we came down to check out… they weren’t. The person that checked us out could have been a little more understanding, the whole reason that I called the night before was so that we didn’t have to do it in the morning on our way out. It was made out to be my mistake, no apology on their part – ok, I’ll live. All this being said, the concierge service is fantastic, and I booked all of our shows and restaurant reservations with them and encountered no problems.

One note on the VRBO vs. others booking… many units are owned by individuals and (IMO) cannot be responsible for your treatment by the MGM Signature staff or cleaning crew unless that was what was arranged prior to your trip. The MGM Signature should not be responsible for your experience once you have booked with an “Owner”.

We chose to stay here for a week long stay as we were looking for somewhere that let us get away bt still be clsoe to the action and this certainly gave us that and more..

The hotel is split between 3 towers - we were in block 2 with easy access to a lovely sized pool and great deli area. however all towers are joined so also easy to gte to the lounge as well as a starbucks.

The room was a fantastic size and well equipt with basic kitchenette and a fantastic bathroom with large shower and jacuzzi bath and a double sink! The room also had a really comfy couch and chair for those kick back moments and all was in exellent condidtiona nd spotlessly clean. The only slight downer on the room was that there was no mini bar or furnature on the balcony (great view though!)

For times when chilling wasn't whatyou had in mind it was a five minutes walk / travelator through air conditoned corridors to arive at the mgm grand hotel itself with the myriad of restaurants, bars, casinos and pools etc

We could not fault our stay at all and woudl deifnately put this on the list to rebook if we retrun to vegas

“Perfect Accomodations away from Casino”

The MGM Signature is great. It wasn't perfect because nothing is perfect. You will alway's be able to find something wrong if you are looking for it. But, I would recommend the Signature to anyone. I booked through www.VRBO.com website, which allows you to book the room from the owner, instead of the Hotel. This is a much cheaper route and you know exactly what room your are going to be staying in. The check-in (Monday) was a breeze, but I did notice through the week that the check-in line got longer as the week went on and it also depended on when you were checking in (avoid mid day timeframe). The room was great. It was not 5-star, but it had very nice amenities and it was big. The hotel has its own pools (3), which was great because the MGM pools were very, very, very crowded. They also provided ice water and also brought bottled water around. The best thing about the MGM Signature was that it gave you a place to get away from the people. Vegas is a very crowded place and the Signature allowed to get away from all that. If you want action/people 24/7, I would not recommend staying at the Signature. The staff were very helpful. I called the front desk for a couple of things and they brought it up in minutes. There were never lines to get a taxi and the Signature is very close to the airport. The few of strip is good, but not as good as being on the strip. We stayed for 6 days (Monday - Sunday) and if I were to go back, I would not stay anywhere else.

“Fabulous room, room service really not good enough and resort fee is a joke...”

Signature at MGM Grand

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, based on the reviews on this site. Unfortunately it really didn't measure up in terms of service provided.

Pro's:
1. It is really nice to be away from the Strip, it's in a very quiet area, but only takes about 10 mins to walk from the MGM Grand to the hotel.
2. The room was HUGE, had a little lounge area, kitchen, massive bathroom (with whirlpool) and a balcony overlooking the pool

Con's:
1. Real issues with the card keys, sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't. Couldn't use mine to get into the pool - had to ask another guest to let me in.
2. Room service is really inadequate: We arrived at 3pm on a Friday and decided to have a good night out, so we didn't get to bed until gone 4am. We'd put the 'Don't Disturb' sign up as we wanted to sleep in. At 4pm Housekeeping called to ask if we wanted the room to be serviced, we said yes and that we'd be leaving the room within the hour and if they could do the room then, that would be great. Five hours later we returned and the room hadn't been done. We contacted Housekeeping and they said the the 'Don't Disturb' sign was still up (it wasn't). We weren't happy with the attitude of the staff with this issue and the room was serviced the next day, but after paying $200 a night, I expect much better room and staff service than that.
3. You pay $15 a day 'resort fee' which includes papers, internet and two very small (330 ml) bottles of water a day. You only got the water if your room was serviced and as mine was not...
4. a random issue, but when you use the entrance from the MGM Grand to the walkway to the hotel, you have to use your key card (which is reasonable). However the gap between the key-card slot and the door is quite substantial and the amount time you have to open the door is quite short, you don't always succeed in getting through the door.
5. The front doors on the hotel (where you check in) do not open automatically and the staff are not always aware that someone is struggling with suitcases through these ridiculously heavy doors.

I plan on returning to Las Vegas (which is amazing) but I certainly will not be staying here based purely on the attitude of the room service staff and the $15 resort fee which I didn't feel gave you very much. I should also point out that I'm quite happy in hotels and rarely complain, but I was greatly disappointed with this hotel.
