“Fabulous hotel in an amazing place”

Just returned from a week in vegas staying at this amazing hotel.
The hotel was huge and it took a while to walk through it to our rooms but thats Vegas for you, all the hotels are massive. The service was excellent, staff extremely helpful arranging trips and show tickets. Lots of places to eat in the hotel from the expensive restaurants to deli counters and snack bars. The bedrooms were a good size with two plasma tvs in the main room and a smaller tv in the bathroom. The pool area on the 4th floor was superb with a choice of 4 pools and loungers everywhere including some semi submerged in one of the pools.
Hotel was in an excellent position in the middle of the strip, handy for the Fashion Mall and monorail. A brilliant hotel in an amazing town.

Just got back from the Venetian today and wanted to write my review while it's fresh in my mind. To start I had never stayed at the Venetian before but I have been to Vegas various times over the last 20 yrs. A couple of years ago I walked though the Venetian and signed up for their players card and played for about an hour as a very small gamer. You can imagine my surprise when a few weeks ago I received a post card offering me comp rooms good for any time. So of f we went to the Venetian!

We arrived at 11:00 A.M. and did have a problem getting to the correct valet area but after one loop around the different parking areas we were on track and heading to registration. As we waited in a check in line of 6 other people we noticed there was actually someone walking the line making sure everyone was in the correct line. When we moved forward he noticed I had my reservation e-mail and asked to see it. He welcomed us and asked if it was our first stay. He offered his services for any information and walked us up to the counter when it was our turn. He wished us a good stay by name. Front check in was a breeze and we were off to our room. Like most of the hotels in Vegas we had to go through the casino to get to the elevators but it allowed us to get our barings. Once we got past secuity and up to the room we were very impressed. It was a free room but it was still very impressive, great bathroom and tub, amazing bed and sunken living room. No view but hey it was a free room the views should go to the paying guests right?
The hotel was truely lovely and yes it is big but that is part of the Vegas experience we walked around the Venetian and then to the Palazzo. The location is also amazing and we never had to use our car but walked to Treasure Island, Mirage, Bellagio and so many others.

Did we like the hotel because we got the rooms for free well wouldn't you? But even if we had paid I would have enjoyed the stay its a lovely place with great rooms in the perfect location.

The only problem I saw was the pool area seemed like a zoo. Not the kind of place you can really relax and read a book more like a club scene but I didn't get a chance to look at the other pool areas to see if they were better!

“Dissapointed with the Venetian”

Rooms are very nice and large, however we were charged an "upgrade fee" of $30/night for double beds and given a room in a remote wing of the hotel. It was an adventure to get to the parking garage and casino - two separate elevators and a very long walk. Wireless internet did not work the entire trip. Pool area is very small for Vegas standards, lots of noisy kids, could not find an adult pool area. After delivering bags to our room, they called 3 separate times claiming they had delivered the wrong bag to us (which they had not).

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Venetian and loved everything about it. Even the smell of the hotel was unreal and we had to ask what the great smell was. The staff is second to none and casino staff is fabulous. Everything you could ask for in a top of the line hotel is here and more. They make you feel like royalty no matter what. Thank you for a great time!

“Great Stay at Venetian”

Venetian Resort Hotel Casino

I read so many reviews before making my hotel reservations that I thought I should share our experience with The Venetian. It was my first time going to Las Vegas and it was our honeymoon trip at that. I spent a lot of time trying to decide between the Bellagio and Venetian. In the end I went with the Venetian and we had a great time.
The room was clean and in good shape. We were on the 24th floor and had a strip view. Of course, there's construction going on next door but we thought it was kind of cool to watch the huge cranes but also see the pools and some of the strip. We requested non-smoking and the room was totally smoke free. I was actually surprised how fresh the room was. The towels were awesome and the bed was so comfortable! It was fun to watch TV while showering, too.
The staff was very friendly and we checked in and out quickly. Riding the elevators was sometimes a test in patience but that was my only complaint. The pool was really nice and very refreshing. The room service menu looked good but $$. The mini bar was stocked but we didn't buy anything.
As for meals, we ate at breakfast at one of the little cafes off of the casino. A huge breakfast for $10 per person! We found The Taqueria Canonita Express at the food court and went there for happy hour in the afternoon. Great salsa!! Noodle Asia was awesome, too, and I loved the Wonton Soup.** One bad experience was with The Grill at Valentino. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! And for the price of the food it was inexcusable! I don't even know where to start except that the waiter made excuses for everything- like why we didn't get water, or bread, or a beer we ordered, etc. Totally blew us off. The ceasar salad was good but not worth the time or money!!**
All in all a great experience. The location was perfect! We walked everywhere and though our feet were hurting I didn't feel as guilty after eating at a buffet or big breakfast! I couldn't have been happier with our room or stay in general. I would love to go again!
