Stayed at The Venetian when it originally opened and thought it was incredible. Not to much has changed, we went with family and had two rooms. One room was in the original Venetian tower most have just been renovated and they are spectacular! The other room we had was in the Venezia tower, it was worn but it was still beautiful. I am sure in the next year or so those will be renovated as well. The Venezia tower had its own private lobby/check in area, a private pool and garden, and a restaurant.
We only had one issue, when we first arrived they were so busy the valet area was not very organized and some man directing traffice sent us to the wrong area. Check in was a breeze, the clerk made sincere conversation and offered us the Venezia tower as an upgrade. Our room was on the third floor, but because of the way the tower it set up it was technically the 13th floor. We still had great luck, the housekeeping staff was superb. Everything we needed they attended to immediately. This is one of the few trips we actually spent more time enjoying our stay in ther room rather than out and about. We brought wine and cheeses and snacks of all sorts. One of my other friends was also in town at the Bellagio and they came to hang out and socialize. The best part of the trip was that we only paid $100.00 for the room because of a special internet offer they extended to me. The only other complaint was that ice was a mile away to fill the ice chest, but our ice bucket was filled by the housekeeping staff nightly. Our only regret was that we could have stayed the whole week and enjoyed the resort. But who would have known we are usually sick of Vegas after the third day.
