“Big Hotel Yet Comfortable & Welcoming”

Hilton Anatole

5 of 5 stars
Boise, ID
Aug 10, 2008

This was my first time staying at the Hilton Anatole. I didn't know what to expect, but was surprised by the size of the place. I attended a conference and although my room was in one tower and my meetings in the other. The daily walk through the hotel was pleasant. The weather in Dallas was rainy and cool during my stay at the Anatole, but with the large atriums, I felt like I was outdoors when walking through the hotel... all in a nice controlled climate.

Room was clean and modern. Bed was very nice. Everything about the room was what you'd expect from a world class hotel.

No complaints.

“Nice hotel and they are proud of it”

Hilton Anatole

3 of 5 stars
Oklahoma City, OK
Aug 5, 2008

Not much detail to go into - but the Hotel is beautiful. At the same time, you can tell once you get there how the Hilton Family gets their money - they charge for basically everything. I'd say for the price it isn't really worth it unless you have a convention in the hotel. Otherwise you can go to a much cheaper place, get a decent room and more amenities for free. I'd still recommend checking it out as it is quite a cool building.

“Big conference hotel with good amenities”

Hilton Anatole

Aug 5, 2008

This is a huge hotel suitable for conferences and events. The rooms are in three buildings, the Atrium1 and 2 and the Tower. The distances can be quite long and it makes sence to find out where your event takes place before choosing where to stay. There are receptions in both buildings, though.

Stayed here 3 times. I like most the garden with a jogging track, a good way to start the morning. On the way back, buy a filled croissant and fresh fruit salad at the cafeteria instead of the big hotel breakfast.

    • Liked — Nice garden and jogging path, good size rooms with nice decor
    • Disliked — the hotel is too big!

“Beware of the fishbowl!”

Hilton Anatole

2 of 5 stars
ohviaggiare
Jul 20, 2008

I stay at the Hilton Anatole every two weeks on Friday night.

The hotel is basically ok, but everyone should know to avoid a certain room they have on every floor in the tower which is essentially a fishbowl. There are no windows to the exterior of the building, all windows are on the corridors, and you can hear people passing by and the elevators all night.

Second problem, on certain floors and not necessarely in the tower you can hear loud music well into the wee hours of the nigt because they have a bar and disco. It's impossible to sleep.

Thid problem, but this is common to all Hilton hotels I have visited: their beds are so soft, I always wake up with an aching back.

“Definitely Not for Families with Young Children”

Hilton Anatole

2 of 5 stars
Killeen, Texas
Jul 10, 2008

I stayed at the Hilton Anatole over the 4th of July weekend with my children, ages 8 and 3. At first glance, the hotel appears to be a beautiful and well maintained. But our stay on the 14th floor with inoperable air conditioning and no windows was downright brutal. Needless to say that it was a very restless night for everyone.

The Anatole did not have basic television channels for children such as the Disney channel, Nickelodeon, etc. They did graciously give you the option to purchase 30 minute kids' shows for $3.95 per show. Or you could purchase a kids' movie for $13 per movie. This was new to me and I thought it was a complete rip off.

The $17 self service overnight parking fee was also an unexpected charge that took me by surprise. WOW! Needless to say that if I am in Dallas ever again, I WILL NOT be staying at the Hilton Anatole. It is beautiful on the surface, but don't look too deep.
