My husband and I stayed 3 nights. Our room was recently renovated. Had a wonderful patio with garden, mountain, and ocean views. #4029. Loved it. Close to all other resorts - could walk miles touring other resorts. Fabulous beaches. Snorkleing couldn't be easier - just find a spot on the beach and walk into the ocean to snorkle. 2 pools. Hotel restaurant was ok. However, there were restaurants a plenty within walking distance - Basil Tomatoes Italian was good.

My husband and I spent 5 nights here for our 5th anniversary. We stayed in one of the tower rooms. We originally booked an ocean view room and was told we'd get a room upgrade to deluxe ocean view and a bottle of champagne since it was our anniversary. When we arrived at the hotel they didn't have any deluxe ocean view rooms available. That was okay though, because the room we had was fine and the view was still beautiful! We did find a bottle of champagne in our room that night too. The hotel has a perfect location right on Kaanapali beach and close to Lahaina and Whaler's Village. There's also a great indoor/outdoor bar area where it's great to grab a drink. Bartenders very friendly. Also, eat breakfast outside at one of the tables looking towards the beach. Talk about a perfect view! The hotel grounds were very well kept and all the staff was friendly. The only complaint we had was that housekeeping was hit and miss. We didn't have any washcloths the first day. Then they would take away our water glasses and not leave clean ones, or they'd just leave the dirty ones. They never did take the dirty champagne glasses from the first night. Still, this wasn't really a big deal. Overall we're very happy we chose this place and we'll stay here again when we come back someday. Excellent price/value when compared to others in the area too.

The Royal Lahaina was perfect! Most of my family stayed there for my brother's wedding, which occured on the grounds of the Royal Lahaina. It's absolutely beautiful there and the staff is so friendly. The pools were fun and Kaanapali beach is within steps from the hotel. The food was excellent as well. Great breakfast buffet. The renovated rooms were awesome, the best room I've stayed in. Our "partial ocean view" had an excellent view of the ocean and beach. I don't have anything but good to say about this hotel. I only wish I could have stayed longer! Paradise!

We stayed in a garden Cottage room. It was nothing fantasy but it was so relaxing and plenty of things to do. The laua is right on the resort and that was very convent. I love this place and we would def stay there again. the staff was wonderful. Its a great family vacation and the beach is perfect for the kids.
