“A Great Place To Stay!”

Hyatt Regency Boston

5 of 5 stars
Stamford, CT

My wife and I stayed here for a wedding in Boston. We contacted the hotel and received a GREAT rate for a two night stay. A king bed with all the works on the 15th floor with a great view. The restaurants in-house were wonderful. Walking distance to Quincy Market and all the historic sites and a block or two from the Commons. Taking the "T" was great. A very clean and efficient subway system with very friendly people. A new system which is all computerized.

The BAD: their in-house parking was expensive for 24 hours. There is no need for them to charge so much when people are guests of the hotel.

“Great Stay over July 4th Weekend”

Hyatt Regency Boston

4 of 5 stars
New York, NY

My girlfriend and I spend 3 nights at the hotel over July 4th weekend. We had a great weekend and would deffinitly stay at the Hyatt again (depending on price). We received an excellent rate using AAA that was the lowest rate for any 4 star hotel in the downtown that weekend.

The location is average, very close to the subway and walkable to the rest of the city. I think next time I would like to stay at the Marriott near the Warf to be closer to the north end (my favorite part of Boston). It's about a 15 minute walk to Copley and 10 minutes to the big dig.

The room was above average and had a good city view. Not much noise from the adjoining room or outside the door. We kept the TV on when we were in the room so that usually drowns out most of the noise. The bathrooms are average for a four stay property. The curved shower curtain rod and upgraded shower head was a nice touch but the space is a bit small.

We both paid for 60 minute massages in the Hyatt health club. I made the arrangements using the Hyatt online concierge without a problem. We both had some background noise from the pool and workout equipment during our treatments but we still really enjoyed the massages.

“There are better locations”

I am going to Boston again this summer and won't be staying at the Hyatt. If you are a business traveler it is a good solution, but for personal travel. The location is not as desirable as others.

“Great location, OK for 4 stars”

Got the hotel at a good price through priceline.com. Would not have been happy if hotel was at a rack rate or similar. The location was fantastic though, a block from the Freedom Trail. Parking is very expensive as it is Boston, $32.00 to park it yourself, $41.00 for them to valet. The rooms are small and nothing special. The amenities are nothing special either. It was an average hotel, nothing spectacular but clean and in a great location. Not worthy of 4 stars, more like a 3 star experience.

“Nice Stay, Good Location (but shady street)”

Hyatt Regency Boston

4 of 5 stars
Northern NJ

This hotel is in a good location. Right around the corner from Boston Common, Chinatown and Theater District. A short walk to Quincy Market.

The street that the hotel entrance is located on is a little shady. It's dark and quiet but just go around the corner and you have a very busy theater district area. In fact, the Ritz is right around the corner too. But this strange street was worth a mention since it was actually a little scary at night.

The staff was friendly.

The rooms were clean. (they are exactly as shown in the traveler photos that are posted)

Elevators: A bit inconvenient as others have mentioned. You need to take 2 elevators to get to and from your room to the street level.

I didn't try the restaurant or other services.

I would not pay in the high $100's for this hotel when there are so many other options in Boston.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. I had no bad experiences on my trip.
